Simple question.
What's the best thing (can be strange/odd) that you have experienced?

Mine for instance is rebuilding a engine and installing it.

I was born. I'm living, and on this Earth today.

Not sarcastic - I'm being entirely truthful.

Being born, just as FireEmblem10 said in his post right above mine. Dead 🤬 serious.

Otherwise... I can't remember a lot of the best things to happen to me. The way my mind works is that good memories go away and bad ones stay forever. :(

Can we agree to not include being born/being alive etc? Obviously that's the best thing that's happened to anyone, it doesn't really need to be pointed out. I think he meant more of what's the best thing that happened to you during your life, and possibly something that you can remember.

Anyway, so far for me it's gotta be sharing the stage at a concert with one of my musical heroes. It's about the equivalent on my instrument (trombone) as a budding electric guitarist getting to share the stage with Eddie Van Halen, or Jimi Hendrix, or <insert guitar legend here>. What an experience.

Being able to attend my first choice music school may yet surpass it, though.

Probably my mum beating cancer. (well, still in the process of beating it, but she's almost better)

Learning to write music and sing. That is all, there is nothing that can beat it, ever since I started in music I've found a subject I can get above average marks in. And it is my main reason for going to school.

Starting a relationship with my wife. She made me want to stop being an idiot.

One day I randomly heard an album. It was called 'The Seaside'. It was by 'Cardiacs'. A couple of months later a similar thing happened at a party when someone put on an album called 'OK Computer' by 'Radiohead'. Yeah.

The best thing that happened to me is that I never got on that bus to Vancouver. Decided to stay in Toronto and met my wife hours later.

I like all the responses so far.

D'aww, that's nice.

The best thing that happened to me was... hmm... I can't think of anything..
But I do have one that qualifies: My liking to cars. Something about how simple as an engine & a 'bunch of parts' can be so inspiring & grasping.
