What's the cheapest quality cockpit to be used with DFP?

I've just recieved a DFP for Christmas, and I'm beginning to realize exactly how much easier it would be if I had an actual cockpit, instead of this pipe-thing that keeps tipping over and bending.

What is the cheapest cockpit that is actually worth buying? I want something with mounts for wheel, petals, and ass. I've seen some very low-priced cockpits online, but I don't want to unknowingly buy them and find that they fall apart, feel awkward, or rattle with wheel motion. Something compact is needed, since my room is rather small. Ideally, it would be able to fold and hopefully be lightweight, but this isn't required. I'm in the U.S., if that affects your recommendations at all. Any thoughts?

I've tried searching the forums, but since this is a low-traffic forum, nothing has been posted recently, and almost all the links are dead.

Any help is appreciated. :)

One thread down, man. :P
Right here.
Just put it together yesterday, I've put about 4 hours of seat time in myself, prolly 6 hours total so far. Plus, my unit shipped from Washington, so it shouldn't take long at all to reach you in CA.

By the way - nice avatar. :D

You chose your avatar well! Your choice of cockpit is very nice, but it's a bit much for me.

You've indeed shown that your cockpit is high-quality, but even your damaged cockpit cost you $245, about $50 higher than the absolute highest price I want to spend (I work for my parents at approximately one-third of minimum wage, so I portion my money conservatively.).

...and nothing more. I'm using a heavy, bulky television which makes the screen mount useless, I've got a desk for my computer, and I've got a DFP, so the shift mount is useless. I'd be fine with the excess, if not for the obvious fact that the extra mounts add to the price.

I've actually sent the website an email requesting that they offer the possibility to buy the thing with some of the removable bits... removed. That way, they could sell a cheaper product to appeal to more consumers, and only have to design a new box. Either way, though, it would take a radical price drop--and weight, 43kg is too much--to begin considering this cockpit for my own purposes.

I've heard that the Hyperdrive cockpit only costs $150, but I was afraid it would suck...
