I've completed the campaign and I only have $6m. I still need 4 million for the trophy. Therefore, I wanted to ask about the quickest ways to make money you've discovered.

I noticed that the best paying races (GT1) give you 23k for easy and 27k for hard. Is there anything you play that you find takes the least amount of time and gets you the most money?

The one I've found so far is race at Silverstone (first out of a bunch somewhere) in the GT1 branch, which is 3 laps long and lasts for about 3 minutes. If you play it on hard you get 27k for the first place every time. Including the loading it would be roughly 4 minutes. That makes it around $400,000 in an hour. Shame that it's still not that much as it means I would have to grind that race for 10 hours to get to 10 million... :(

Also, does anyone know if you get the prize money for winning a championship again? Like those 90k they sometimes give you.

Thanks in advance!

i don't think there will be another way, maybe dlc will unlock more level after 20 and so more prizes. However i think the best way is just to enjoy all the career path again with different cars from those used the first time and beat some autolog times. I will do like this cause i want to have and tune all the cars and i need so much money.

Otherway i think you can copy your save, sell everything you have in the garage have the trophy and than reload the save.

It's not the money at a given time, it's the accumulated amount of money that you earned during your career. Otherwise, sure, I would sell all the cars I can :)

damn i think it was just reaching 10m.. well so doing again the career events i think it's the only way. A target in order to play more.

I believe that that the dlc may include more events and levels to reach, so this could solve the problem. Released on the 26th by the way, so only a few days to wait.

I can earn money just trying to beat autolog times. Finish a race and get the money. Also, those event's with loaner cars are so appealing. Just did the GT-R/Viper/LFA ones to beat my times... I want friends to have a surprise (hopefully) when PSN comes up.

Its not grinding... its FUN :D I'm at 45% in career mode and last time I checked I was almost at 5 million...

Yeah, I have about $7,000,000 and I'm only at 77%. Not sure how come you have less than me with the whole career mode completed, cypher2004.

Probably because I did the first 75 races on hard and then switched to easy. Wanted to complete the game quicker so that I could do the races I like.

And that is why Shift 2 has more appeal than GT5.

Anyway, this probably won't be fun for you but it will be for me :), tune the car to make it difficult for yourself when replaying races. You could set it to have lots of oversteer, for example, then try and beat your laptimes for it. When completing the races it will earn you money and you will(hopefully) become so engrossed that you don't realise your fortune amassing. :)

Also, 200th post! Senior Member, YAY!

I'm enjoying doing the specials and events with loaner cars. They're way to cool and a good way to put friends under stress :D because its the same car for everybody 👍

I can't tune so i'll probably add something more than oversteer to a car... now that's a challenge :D

In the mean time, with a few hours trying to get 1st place in the aforementioned events, I reached the million mark again :D (The specials with Hard AI really are Hard)

Tuning is much easier in Shift 2 than it is in GT5. Clear explanations are provided for tuning noobs like me :D

Maybe try to create a perfect tune for all your cars for every individual track, and test them in races rather than just 'Testing' it on a track of your choice.
