Alright, so I have GT5 and I'm looking at buying a wheel for my PS3. I also play other racing games like DiRT, NFS Shift, and NFS Hot Pursuit. I put in an order for a G27 but it seems like lots of people are having issues with it on GT5. Do you think I should purchase a Driving Force GT instead since it's specifically made for GT5 and is also compatible with all the PS3 games I play?

How much different is the FFB between the DFGT and the G27? Do you think I'd be disappointed going from the G27 to the DFGT even though it has problems with GT5?

Also, what are you thoughts on the Fanatec GT3 RS V2 wheel? It seems you can buy that wheel for about $70 more than the G27. Is it a better wheel and should I grab that instead of the G27?

Hey man, I have the GT3 RS V2, its great and works flawlessly with GT5. I suggest it!!! I had a G27 before, and this is by FAAAAR a better wheel pedal combo, and its only just a bit more expensive.

I have booth DFGT and GT3 RS V2 CS. The Porsche wheel is superb, and I would say the same about the DFGT, if there were bigger paddles for gear changing and a better pedal system. The wheel by its self is very good...👍

What problems are you talking about with g27?

The wheel jerks back and forth when driving straight, the buttons aren't configurable so you can't hand brake or turn on your lights and a few other things, and lots of people have issues with getting the clutch to work correctly. It's really disappointing that Logitech and DP couldn't have got the G27 to be completely functioning.

I'm just worried that the extra $200 for the G27 won't be worth it over the DFGT especially with the problems with the G27.

And is it worth the extra money getting the GT3 RS V2 package over the G27?

I would say buy the Logitech DFGT if you plan on racing a bunch with GT5. 90 bucks off Fleabay or My local Fry's has them for 99.00 New in box... The game is made for it....My G25 wheel is modded to the moon and the FFB sucks..need a way to add a profiler on the ps3 and it would work great. I hate the floppy pedals on the DFGT but lap times are better with the DFGT and the knob on the wheel has secrets during game play like adding traction control to a locked out car in game

I have that same problem with my Fanatec 911 Turbo S wheel so I doubt the Fanatec GT3 RS is any better.

But on both wheels you just need to change some settings in order to solve the problem.
Increase the Sensitivity to 900° and if you want to drive with less than you can add some linearity and artificial dead zone. There will be no more shaking for sure...

did you put in %10 deadzone? I am not using any deadzone and have wheel set to 900 degrees. I have ingame @ 3 and 100 on the wheel. I'm still playing around w/ settings.

I play with 900 degrees 10 or 20 deadzone and still have the problem. To be honest I don't blame Fanatec as the wheel itself works perfectly in forza 3 or virtually any driving game on my PC. It's a Polyphony Digital issue as far as I'm concerned.

It's not quite game breaking for me, I can play the game. But compared to the force feedback on Forza 3 it feels nasty.

I can get the G27 for $300 or the GT3 RS V2 for $370. I'm not worried about the $70 difference, I just want to know which wheel is the best for GT5. It seems the GT3 RS doesn't have the dead zone issue and the pedals are nicer. But the G27 seems to be compatible with more games than the Fanatec wheels.

If the money wasn't an option, would you get the G27 or the GT3 RS V3? I will also be playing on my PC, but mostly on my PS3. I don't play my 360 much, so that's not a factor.

I have a Fanatec Turbo S and its the most adaptable wheel I have ever used (had a DFP before), what some games lack in customization, the wheel provides.

I would spend the extra money for the GT3RS since I own one myself and I really do like the clubsport pedals. The pedals feels a very close resemblance to a car's pedals where you get the same pressure from a brake and you can adjust the gas and clutch pedals stiffness. I see that now the shifters are included with the purchase of the GT3RS. Seems like an easy choice now since they offer so much now.
