I'm surprised there isn't a thread on it already, it's been going a really long time and is really good (apart from this weeks when they butchered an RX7 :( )

The premise is that Mike goes in search of a classic or modern classic car that is in dire need of repair and buys it. He then passes it to the mechanic Edd who fixes the car up to an almost new condition and then they sell it for a profit.

Edd is an awesome mechanic and explains everything he does. He normally has lots of great tips too.

Yeah, wasn't keen on the mods to that RX-7 (thought the snakeskin was a joke when he first picked up the pattern...) but generally their stuff is pretty good. Porsche the other week turned out great.

I think they've been explaining things pretty well this season too. Edd has always been good with that, but they seem to go more in-depth on the technical aspect now - such as the explanation of how a rotary engine works.

Been watching WD since series 1. Changed quite a bit since then, and it'd be nice to see them restoring some truly cheap old classics again (purchase budget for series 1 was £1k) but as TV car shows go there aren't many better ones.

I like to see a larger budget but used on older cars. Things like the Uraco, Elan and Cobra for example.

I do enjoy Wheeler Dealers. Here in the states it's shown on Velocity. Mike and Ed always find cool cars, most car shows here all restore 60's and 70's muscle cars. It's refreshing to see cars that aren't popular in the US being worked on; Lotus, TVR... and the Frogeye Sprite.

Yeah, its a great show and I watch it whenever I can on Velocity.👍

Edd China does a great job of explaining and showing the various repairs that he does in order to fix the cars.

I always enjoy the opening bits when Mike first shows each car to Edd just outside the garage, and they do a walk-around.

Mike will say "its a great motor with hardly anything wrong except for a few minor issues".

The repair list always seems to get longer and longer the more they look at the car.:)

Great fun!

Watch this show whenever it comes on. Used to watch it on Speed and only late last year did I rediscover it on Velocity.
