Wheelies

I'm trying to get a shot similar to the one in the first Fast and the Furious where the american dodge (is it, some big muscle car) pulls a huge wheelie in the drag at the end.

I've tried it on the Dodge Charger Super Bee 426 but can't get the front wheels off the ground. Got a spoiler with full downforce on the back and none on the front, also tried hard spring rates front + rear and also just hard on the front and soft at the back but that didn't work.

Anyone got any tips on how to get an American muscle car to do it?

Cheers.

Nobody has tips for a very simple reason - it can't be done. The only way to get the front wheels off the ground is to do a high speed wheelie and that is definitely not going to happen with that Dodge. For more info about high speed wheelies, visit the Three Hundred Miles Per Hour thread. 👍

Its not possible on GT4 I dont think, because in real life you need a certain style of Tires with about 900+ lbs/ft of torque & a light front end & suspension set up in a specific way..
& Seeing as GT4 doesnt have tires like that & you cant get the dodge that finely tuned its imposible..

It's not just lack of traction or power. In GT4 it's easy to make a car that should punt the front wheels, but the physics model won't allow it. The only way to get a tire off the ground is in response to a bump.

Alternatively, check out the Wheelie Trick Thread - it should be known that the 300mph Club has as little to do with wheelies as possible.

This topic has been covered pretty extensively in this thread, anyway, so there's no need to go into it all again.
To save people having to read that rather degenerate thread, the answer is no, you cannot do a wheelie from the start without modifying the game. :)
