Hello guys,

I am about to buy Thrustmaster T300 RS + 3 pedals set T3PA + new gear shifter TH8A for my PS4 when they are released later in August. Drive Club, Project Cars and F1 2014 release is very close so now I would need to buy the wheel stand.

Unfortunately I have no place in my living room for full rig, so I need somthing foldable.

I would like to have a gear shifter mounted in the lower "real car" position. Or do you think guys it better when its mounted in the same level as the wheel base (your hand is traveling less)

From the "master wheel stand list" I have picked three models:

1) Wheel Stand Pro Deluxe V2
http://www.wheelstandpro.com/products/wheel-stand-pro-for-thrustmaster-tx-racing-wheel-deluxe-v2

Pros:
- fits exectly to T300 RS + T3PA + TH8A
- from video review it seems to be stable and rigid
- pedals/wheel level can be positioned in any angle/direction/height
- many satisfied customers across the internet

Cons:
- I am not sure If the pole "between the legs" dont mind if pushing the middle pedal
- gear shifter can`t be mounted to lower position (mean "standard" position like in real car) - well of course it can actually mounted, but DIY only
- pedals angle can NOT be changed

2) GT Omega Steering Wheel Stand
http://www.gtomegaracing.com/gt-omega-steering-wheel-stand

Pros:
- pedals angle can be changed
- no pole "between the legs"
- gear shifter CAN be mounted to lower position with additional gear shifter mounting kit

Cons:
- not so good users review
- from video reviews not so steady
- no official distributor in our country (possible problem with warranty, RMAs etc.)

3) Playseat Challenge
http://www.playseat.com/shop/eu/wl/playseat-challenge-seats.html

Pros:
- it has deditated seat
- no pole "between the legs"

Cons:
- wheel base height can NOT be adjusted (only tilted up/down)
- from the review it seems not to be much stable (although the guys from Sim Racing have different opinion ()
- does not official support for T500RS/T300RS (but it works)
- no mounting kit for TH8A (only DIY)
- from first look the material feals cheap

Please let me know your opinion, which one would you recommend?

Thanks a lot.

If you went with option 1 or 2, what would you be sitting on exactly? Sometimes portable stands can be worked in with certain types of seating.

Edit: Where will it be stored when not in use? How much storage space is available, and is it hidden space?

OK, I have asked the expert from Inside Sim Rading, Darin Gangi, and yes, we told me we would go with GT Omega. But he recoment me Next Level Wheel stand as is the best Wheel stand on the market in terms of stabilityhttp://www.isrtv.com/forums/topic/13724-next-level-racing-wheel-stand-review/ so I will probalby go with this stand

Two problems I see, its MUCH larger than a Wheel Stand Pro v2 so it takes up a lot more space, second, its almost twice the cost of WSP v2. By the time you get to the $300 range, you might as well go with a cheaper cockpit.

Yes, its larger but still I can fold it and put it into the closet with no issues. If I had a space in the the room, yes, I would probably go with the full rig.

Price is little bit higher, thats true, but considering the shipment from Australia is included and the rock stability it amazing fir its price. And I love the gear shifter position.

Wheelstand Pro service has always been excellent without exception. The center pole issue is overrated. I use one with a G27 and use both feet on the brakes.

Important thing: I have discovered that the length of the base and angle of your legs is the biggest determining factor on whether or not the center post is an obstruction. The stand MUST be set up so that the center post is either in line with your knees or somewhere along the inside of your thighs. That way it will never be an obstruction. If the post is along your shins, you'll bang into it as you pivot your feet to reach the brakes.

Seat height and pedal angle are the two factors influence this.
