...please do not vote ready until everybody is in and they selected a car. If a majority votes ready, there will be only 30 seconds left. During those last 30 seconds you will not be able to switch car. And the game, in its wisdom, sets you up with the one car you don't want, since it will not start: The Viper. So that leaves you no choice but to leave (and often it means you have to restart as well). It's better to just let the counter tick away, unless people had time enough to pick a car. 
I really don't know why you can't switch car for those last 30 seconds, but it really annoys me. Happened three times to me already.
