When racing seasons close the book on a season, we normally have all sorts of ways to stay in the racing mood. This is for almost any sports fan. This is because there is an offseason. Like for a football fan like myself, I'm usually imagining up a Super Bowl or one of the big college games. Like I can draw up the Iron Bowl (coming November 20th), Egg Bowl, Army-Navy game, Ohio State/Michigan game, I have alternatives. What are your alternatives when most of the bigtime racing series close up? Finish this sentence with your commentary:

"When most racing series are finished for the year, I..."

Go ahead.

When most racing series are finished for the year, I go crazy! I hate the "off season" for motor sports. I just have to wait till the Albert Park Gran Prix to see the F1 and V8 supercars. I stil have my racing games.;)

When most racing series are finished for the year, I watch tapes of the best races of the season and the season before. I also play alot of racing games, though that won't happen this time, I'll have GTA: SA. Also I do tend to go quite crazy in anticipation of Albert Park.

i always keep on tape the gold coast indy, the last champcar race, the last f1 race and the last v8 race!!! that'll keep me entertained. it was awesome when the last champcar round was at fontana, i loved that track, so much passing

I think after the V8 supercars are finished this year I'll have to go and do the whole series on V8 supercars 2 with full lengh races. :D

Although it's not in the format you asked for, here's what happens for me -

As a NASCAR fan: Well, the NASCAR offseason is only 10 weeks, so I handle that pretty well.
As an F1 fan: I go crazy. . . They need a longer schedule. . . . and more US races (I know that won't happen because of costs, but it doesn't hurt to dream!) :D
As a WRC fan: I'll probably try to get the new WRC game when I go to Europe with my school in July. . . That'll satisfy my cravings.
As a racing fan in general: Thank God for SPEED Channel. They always have re-runs or some odd Netherlands short-track dune-buggy ice racing or something. . . Pretty cool to watch.

Very good question! 👍

(By the way, those series are in no particular order)

But the fontana race was cancelled last year, Gold Coast was the last race.

You Aussies are so lucky - you get to watch the V8 Supercar races. I haven't seen one of those races in a year or two (Here on US television). Those cars are awesome! I envy you, radicool02! :D

In the US on the Speed channel we don't get any V8 supersars, BTCC, DTM, ETCC, and the JGTC until December, so in the off season we can watch all the races for the first time. even if we know who won the races or the championship. But we go crazy during the racing season not beable to see the races you see.
