Where are people buying their G27's in the UK?

Well, as the title says really!

I've been hunting this site and the web for a few days now looking for info and prices on the G27 and im getting a little confused.

Play had it the other day listed for £249.99, then the following day it had changed to £259.99 and was pre-order, to be released on 10th December!
But its obviously already released as many people on here have one.

A few other sites have also mentioned December too, so is this a supply issue due to GT5 being imminent?

Pixmania state that they have it in stock for £259 but i've had bad experiences with them in the past so am reluctant to use them.

So my main question then, if you are in the UK, where's the best place to purchase a G27 without having to wait til Dec?

Thanks

Andy.

Can't say I've looked for one tbh but if you're having trouble finding stock I'd suggest eBay or Amazon.

Is there some sort of stock shortage from Logitech???

Play is showing ..... 'Usually dispatched within 4-5 days' on my pc today ?

I like this retailer and have used many times, also £260 seems ok since people are selling second hand g25's on ebay for £200 approx !

I also like Play, have used them for years and spent thousands with them... however...

Just phoned them as i wasnt happy about the product info changing so many times over the last few days.
I was told in very broken english that they have been given an estimate from their supplier that they will be shipped in 4-5 days. I assume stuff gets shipped to play as i cant imagine they dropship much as they are too big a company surely.

Anyway, that was by no means a guarantee and she said their normal restocking time is 28days. She seemed a bit confused and couldnt say whether i would get the wheel in 4-5 days or 28 days. Also when i asked about the site saying yesterday that 10th Dec was quoted, she just repeated her script about restocking taking 28 days.

Although im a good customer of Play and really like them, im not going for it as they simply dont know whats going on with this product and i have had orders cancelled and delayed by them before with no explaination or reasoning.

The hunt continues!

come on chaps, where did you other UKer's get yours from?

Andy.

Amazon want £360 for it!! robbing gits!
Actually, Amazon have it listed at £249.99, albeit out of stock... they do also have more expensive suppliers, but you have to shop around, even within the Amazon website itself. The benchmark is £329, which is how much you'll pay if you buy the G27 directly from the Logitech UK website. In any case, I don't think it is the vendors fault if some people are stupid enough to pay more than Logitech's RRP for it.

I noticed the price change on Play.com as well, and it seems that everywhere is sold out at the moment, so you may have to bide your time if you want a better deal, or bite the bullet and go direct to the Logitech website and get it from there. You can also try eBay, but given that these products can and do deteriorate over time, I'd be reluctant to spend a wad of cash on a second hand G25 or G27.

No use at the moment since there are no g27's are on there, but i love this site for looking for best uk deals ... http://www.hotukdeals.com/
Save it for future purchases

I had a lot of trouble finding the DFGT in stock also, maybe trying to fill resellers stock ready for GT5 release ?

Why is the G27 so ridiculously overpriced in the UK? It is only $260 on amazon.com which is about £160

Tell me about it... everything seems more expensive in the UK. I once considered buying a wheelstand/driving seat, but was put off because of the price.

I once tried driving using a DFP perched on my lap, but all it did was drive me nuts...

Overclockers said they would have stock in a week or so.

I may just hang on till then, especially as you know what has been delayed.

Play really are taking the p*** with this.

Its changed yet again on their site, now back up to £250 and ship in 3-5 weeks!

Thats six times its changed within the last week or so and thats just the time ive been keeping an eye on it.

talk about messing their customers about!
