so THAT **** was the GT6 demo everyone is talking about?
it was PURE CRAP and RIDICULOUS. thank god there is actually a good game coming out way sooner than that crap - GTA 5.

im no fanboy but i have always hated that whole academy **** and to now call that a demo...weak. soo weak.

I can understand that it was a bad demo, not many people enjoyed it, I myself left it alone after 24 hours of downloading.

There's no reason to get so mad though, it's only 1% of what we're gonna get in GT6.

GTA V will be awesome... I'll be playing that until GT6 comes out, no more GT5 after Sep 17.

R.i.P

Well that sure escalated quickly didn't it. (Sorry :dopey:)

If your going to judge GT6 entirely off a demo that was only 1G large then that's your problem, though I wouldn't necessarily consider it a wise choice.

I did enjoy it. I kind of spoiled the new feel of the physics, but it was fun. I just golded everything and never touched it again so I don't keep spoiling the surprise.

And yeah... Too bad you didn't like it. You can't expect a full game for free, or even less, judge the final product with such a small demo. Wait until the full game is released and give it a try.

im sorry for the coarse language, i just cant believe that this academy crap was actually gt6 demo aswell. i was 100% sure there were going to be two different things because the academy demo was soo boring and 50% shorter than most games' demos these days. thats why i was so disappointed.
i like the gta series more than gt anyway, so thats why im so happy that were getting gta: san andreas 2 basically with everything a gta fan could want.
im pretty sure gt6 is going to be another letdown. its not possible they just got up and made a good game in 3 years. people at PD need 10 years minimum to come up with something playable (think gt4, the best of them all).

"Yaaay lets assume a game is going to be a letdown all because of a Academy demo".

It definitely sounds like you won't like GT6 then.

The demo situation was pretty clearly explained here by Jordan in the news section when the demo went live. It's just a TT using the GT6 engine - not do I think it was 50% shorter than other demos - at least not any racing demos.

Also, I'm fairly sure GT4 didn't take ten years to release...

you sound like you hate Gran Turismo Franchise.... everyone knows that GT5 toke over 5 years to devolope because it was hard to get the power of PS3...

Now they have learned new things and with GT6, they optimized everything + new Features like new Mods, Costumazation, Cars, Tracks...

btw, can't wait for gt6 and gta 5.

regards

I feel this thread was opened with the sole intention of creating another GT6 hate discussion. I can see how you manipulated the opening post as if waiting for it to trigger the right answer to start your nonsensical rage. I sincerely doubt you didn't know GT Academy was GT6's demo

That last part is a pretty ignorant statement. You also seem to be contradicting yourself considering GT4 or any GT game for that matter hasn't taken more than 5 years to develop. (and for the record GT4 took only 3 years to make)

I LOVED GT3 and GT4. didnt have a PS for GT/GT2 but I did play GT2 at my friends' house and even then I liked the fact that it wasnt the typical "dumbed down" car game. ive been a car enthusiast from as long as I can remember, so GT became something very special for me.
I remember SO MUCH about the day I went to buy the GT4 which i had been waiting for I dont even remember how many years and then walking back to the car park and driving off in my mitsubishi galant vr4 '91 (same as in-game only in-game its a '89 i think). anyway, i remember exactly what the weather was, how the traffic was driving home from CBD to suburbs (very light, so i got home fast). i remember the songs that played on my nakamichi cd-player in my car when i was driving TO buy and FROM buying the game.
it was all SO special and then the game - i just couldn't have asked for more.
buying GT5 was hilarious. i went to wikipedia to see when gt5 will be released and whaddya know - it was THE day, THIS day, TODAY. so, i got into my fathers ugly toyota avensis '08 (i hate cars that are never than '99 - generally, of course, esp. plastic buckets like this one..). i dont remember anything but the awful HEAVY-HEAVY snow in the end of november. i got home, it took about an hour for it to install itself, i played for about half an hour and was already bored. i didnt touch the game until 4 days later. i played for 4-4 1/2 hours altogether of 8-9 hours total. i cant say i didnt like the game in the beginning as it was like my favorite, GT4 and equally nice, GT3 were - you buy a crappy car and start with the sunday cup blahblah..it was nice, i liked that. but a-spec was all that i liked about the game. everything else was absolutely useless and never used by me.
of course i used the dealerships, used car lot and free racing mode - NOT ARCADE, the free mode that you can choose from under gt mode.
like someones death, i finally entered the acceptance stage where i accepted the game sucked, but a-spec was still ok, free mode was GOOD, and the choice of cars was...well same as gt4 + a few new ones here and there but nothing that would interest me. then i happened to look at the car list for forza 4, i think it was, and i was in heaven - audis, bmws, mb's - omg. an american company includes e34 m5, e39 m5, audi s6, audi s4, audi s3, audi rs2, audi rs4, audi rs6, plenty of mb amg's and of course great US of A cars. and great JP cars. i LOVE 80s JP cars. why the hell cant PD add an ABSOLUTELY important car like Nissan President or - come on - even more important, the one that MADE Lexus what it is today - Lexus LS400. yes, they are not even close to racing cars but are the other 20-30% cars??? i answer no and i know true car enthusiasts cant do nothing but agree.

and now the boat is quietly sailing to the same place as it was with gt5..lets hope it wont be WORSE (that they will choose to dock somewhere in the Dominican Republic rather than ANYwhere in Hate-i)
