Where does the name "Bob" come from? (B-Spec driver)

It comes from GT4, where B-Spec drivers had no names, most people started calling the B-Spec driver "B-Spec Bob", and it went from there really

Bob is the driver of which you are using on B-Spec mode. Bob is a good way to make your driver remain anonymous, to create convenience, & that earlier GT titles, drivers had no name. Bob is a good anonymous & unanimous name because it is the most simple name you can think of, & it is a palindrome. It can also be easily be said & readable across the world. I'm not sure who originated it, though.
