Where to get a pick- up truck?

Last series in Beginner Events needs a Pick up truck but so far nothing has come up for sale. Do I have to make shedloads of credits and buy one new from say Ford or Dodge? That would seem a bit daft in a beginner event in this game as the payouts are so low compared to gt5!

Yeah, unfortunately you never win one so you have to buy it. Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Toyota I think are the ones to look at. There might be others that will work. That concept truck in the race though will give you fits.

This is just like that Suzuki race, the only Pick up you can win is in that event.

Eh, you can win a pick up truck?

Yes, you win the Silverado SST Concept from it. And it's easily the fastest, and best sounding (when stock) of the trucks.

If you wanna win, I would advise wither the Ford if you're looking for power or the Toyota if you're looking for some handling. The Ram is too heavy and the SSR isn't fast enough.

Oh i thought you win a suziki GSX in that race!

He, and I, meant the Pick-Up Truck Race is what you win it from. I mean, where else would you win one?! :dunce:

Yea well that makes sense, lol
I like avatar BTW. my favourite film!
Now, do we get a big payout, prize car when completing all the beginners series?

You get a whopping 1200 credits for each of three races, and the prize car's (SST Concept, as mentioned by C-ZETA) resale value is zero. Lowest paying series in the entire game. Don't rule out the Dodge Ram, though, it does have other uses. ;)

Well, I'd say the Aston Martin race pays even less, you have to buy a car for a 6-digit price, possibly tune it, and you only win 2,000 credits per race, totaling 6,000. Yes, this was completely off-topic, but I just had to point it out. :sly:

You can buy a Dodge RAM 1500 LARAMIE Hemi Quad Cab '04 (S) from the online dealer once PSN gets back up or win it pretty easely by getting bronze on IA License.
i have 2 of them, bought one before i won another one :D

^ If you ever get a chance that Ram is capable of laying down a pretty quick tim on the 'ring when tuned right. I have one in my Garage that holds a personal best of 6'29.xxx(Iforgot my last three digits.). For a 4000+ lbs. beast(weight reduced) that's amazing what with the splendid but, unintentional off-road action, mostly reverse into a wall, that's awesome. It's probably one of my favorite tunes despite the Porsche meet's Big Rig handling.

The Dodge Ram is also very good in the Rally events. With a proper tune you can win all the Rallies & get the 200 XP credits for each race. Takes a bit of work but loads of fun.

Precisely what I did with my RAM after beating the pickup competition. But, for road races, the SST that you win is great. From personal experience, I'd recommend the Dodge. Nice power, and not that expensive.
