I normally use:

Automatic Transmission
Driving Line On (to judge braking distances better)
Traction Control 5
Skid Recovery Force On
Active Steering Off
ASM Off
ABS 1
Controller Steering Sensitivity 7

I'm also using the DFGT wheel... what aids would be recommended based on that? I'm taking on the Vettel Challenges today and only have Bronze at Monza right now.

Thanks!

Yeah, I know. ;) I just went a 59.527 @ Monza in time trial with those aids... if it matters.

Edit: Silver @ 2:05.126

Any general tips for this?

I got a tip that i used at Monza to gold with my DS3. On the first chicane, brake hard for about a second and a hald when your at the mid point of the red, then gas it so u can go really fast through it. On the second chicane, let go of the gas (no braking yet) for about two seconds at the start of the red. Then brake hard for a second and a half then press the gas trying to maintain the speed around that chicane. While on the chicane, dont brake. Just let go of the gas adjust the car quickly, then gas up again.

I dont know if it made sense, but good luck. You went from bronze to 2:05 so your on the right track.

Thanks! I golded it earlier with a 2:03.406 (went out a 1:03.550 so I took it safer on the last lap and was able to finish it off well) so I'm on to Nurburgring and Suzuka... Suzuka has been my worst track ever since GT4 and F1 Championship Edition so that one's going to be very hard for me. Any tips for the Nurb?

Sadly i dont... I have both bronze but almost silver. I guess it near impossible with a DS3. But ill keep on trying. The thing i have to do is jot down the places i know i can do faster and just better myself. But i know i have a lot of hours ahead of me.

Does asm do that much to help the x2010 handling or is it just another thing hurting me, i used to typically only do asm and abs 1 with most cars, i haven't turned asm off for the challenge since i haven't done it in a while, but does it make a difference?

It makes a huge difference!!! Turn it off immidiately lol. Use whats in the OP. Except, put traction control to 1. Itll feel better. U just got to get used to it. Im sure your too used to driving with all that stuff on.

Do it with SRF and TC and ABS 10 and then slowly tick them off. I ended up winning with ABS on 1 only, with sensitivity on 1

I used Skid Recovery Force, Traction Control 1, Anti Brake System 1, Sensitivity 7. But since you used to play with ASM on, i recomment you put "Mild" on whatever that option is also. Itll help you out before going cold turkey on how your used to playing.

For the DFGT, when you come out of the pits you want the TC on 0 because you get a better start off the line.

My golds done like in January, before any of todays patches:

Monza 2:01.343

Nurburgring 2:07.033

Suzuka 2:08.979

ABS 10
SRF ON
Auto Tranny
G25

Very impressive video... Sadly, i dont have a steering wheel so i cant do those times (except Monza) but sucks that i golded all the races except the two i need from the Vettel challenge. I guess im not getting platinum.

Turn Traction Control OFF. Skid Recovery Force ON. I had ABS OFF and Driving line off when I golded Monza. Also, ASM was off and Active steering was OFF. Controller senstivity was 7. I use a DS3.

I have everything off. Except Skid Recovery Force (on), ABS 1, and sensitivity to 7. I use a DS3 and I'm saddened that this stops me from platinum.
