Anyone know which Mercedes Benz SL can have more then 1000+ HP? It's a standard model Mercedes.

no one of the mercedes sl can hit 1000+ hp
but they can reach near 1000 hp
also search function will help... theres a threath with the "1000hp cars"

The premium one can get that much power I believe, I've gotten pretty close to 1,000 with it but I gave up.

Ehe, premium must be worse, only a v8, v12 and turbo is much better, i like boost.

SL600 max is 1021HP. I know because i have 4 of them. All these people that claim more are full of donkie doodoo.

I regularly get back to 1024 or 1025 after oil changes on a 9000 mile car, so is fully broken in. 1037 though is in the same league as Sleeping Beauty - a fairy tale fantasy.
(I have 2 - 1 with 0 miles at 1023 and my 8792 miles one with 1025bhp, Having more examples of a car proves nothing, Kingstang >:0) - especially when 1025 is the most mentioned power figure in this thread)

Try the mid range turbo - Mercs seem to run better with it.

Thats because the unit you use isnt HP, you probably use another unit. I have written about that as well in another thread.

see here my proof like i said my SL600 has 1037 hp , and to that other guy , oke its says PK wich stands for PaardenKracht , do you know what the english translation voor PaardenKracht is? its HorsePower.

There was a discussion on another thread about units of power.
The English 'HP' is different to the European equivalent 'PS' (German
ferdestärke).1HP is roughly equivalent to 750 watts.
1PS is roughly equivalent to 735 watts.
So the same engine will have two ratings - 1025hp or 1037ps. (or pk in your case).

SL65 AMG - 1000
SLR '03 (standard) - 943
SLR (premium) - 923
CLK LM - 857
E55 AMG - 851
SLS - 828
SL55 AMG - 802

Ehe, yes, thats what i wrote, you still dont have 1037hp, you have 1037pk or what ever, or 1037ch if you use french language. Pk and hp is slightly different, and if you would use HP unit it would say 1024, thats it.

Pics or it didnt happen. You dont understand, that depending on which language you use that determines what unit you will get. As said before 1024hp is 1037ch or kp, or what ever different unit. I made a thread about it earlyer. Your sl600 can maximum have 1024hp, not 1030 or more.
Change your language to french and you will see the "hp" increase, but in reality, the hp doesnt increase, you only get the power in different unit, hence the numeric differance. You can have a unit that says "3000xx", but that car wont be faster or more powerful than the same car with 1024hp.

Well i'm using English because i'm from Britain, so it should be normal hp. I got the car straight from the OCD, changed the oil (this gives a few more hp even to 0 miles cars) fitted all mods then did a few runs down the mulsanne straight.
I'll check it again now.
Right just turned my PS3 back on and the power output has gone back down to 1025hp. No idea why and now I sound like a troll
I'll put some more miles on it and see what happens. It was going up because I was checking in the tuning menu while setting the car up.

We want a picture (non photoshopped) that shows us that your sl600 has 1030hp. Otherwise its bs, and you know what happens with people that bs? Well, i put it this way, forget to get a nice online play for a while
