Which car to use in ''Like the Wind'' lvl 21 A-SPEC Mode?

ive got my ZR1 race moded, maxed out upgrades, and soft race tires. max down force front and rear. not sure what my top end is, 230 something. im running consistent 44s laps.

by the first turn im out in front of the pack, and by the end of the race ive got a 10-14s lead. i normally lap the last place guy as i cross the finish line.

I WAS saving up. Then I spent 1 000 000 in frustration

Yeah, I got to 2.5, then bought a Jag XJ220 RM and did an overhaul and fully tuned it. Who knew stupid decisions can bite u in the bum. Gotta play sober more often.... At least b Spec driver is starting to pull his weight hahaha.:scared:

Use the Furai, it's easy to get early on in B-Spec mode. It easily beats that event. Course, this is fully tuned with parts and d-force.

Everyone has said that. I'm going to try it once again, driving flat for the speedway, as for daytona, not sure how thats going down. Mind you I still have a vette im willing to try, after that im going to be frustrated and getting some crazy car for it.

The Like The Wind Daytona race is easy. Smashed that one out in mt 09 GTR. Bit of a battle with the Escudo for the first few laps but went on to win by 7 seconds or so

I used to use Like the Wind "Indy" as my printing press. I use the Toyota Minolta 88 and blast the 5 laps in like 3:30 and pull in the 70k, now I abuse the American Super Car "Indy" for 98k in the Ford GT blasting out 4:13.x for the 5 laps, my new printing press :)

The trick to Indy in like the wind is simply stay inside on the straights once you are in front. If you go to the outside the AI can draft off you and catch up. Also you need soft race tires. I have won this event with the McLaren F1, The ZR1 RM, the Zonda R, the Mazda Concept and others. It is pretty easy once you find the line in the corner and stay inside on the straights.

btw the Mercedes CLK GTR will win this event very easy with just soft tires and an oil change as will any LMP type car or F1

Well I beat the Daytona easily with the Maza Furai. Now its the Speedway I gotta focus on. Hopefully the same car will do it for me.

ZR-1 with the Race Mod, is the best for the job without having to pay out for Group C/LMP type cars. Without the racemod you will have no front end downforce and thus you will understeer like a madman in corners.

I bought the ZR1 for the event and fully upgraded it, including all the full downforce upgrades. Had to tune it a little because still understeered a fair amount, but after it all I must say it handled beautifully. :D Definitely the best car for the job.

Could someone take a screen picture on the settings you have on Z1R? I have tried to use those settings you have written and the cars handling is still bad :(

In the tuning forum there is a beautiful setup for the ZR-1, race mod it and apply those settings, you will be happy i promise.

As for the Mclaren F1, i'm guessing you need to fully upgrade it and buy the full AERO package. Mine didnt have enough front end downforce to create the grip needed to win and i didnt want to spoil the car by tuning it. So i bought the ZR-1 instead, race modded it does the job (probably better than a tuned Mclaren F1, because the race mod allows you a massive ammount of downforce for amazing cornering speed, basic aero isnt even close.

I tried this one:

Downforce: 35/53
Transm.: 360 km/h (380 at Nordschliefe)
Initial torque: 10
Acc sens: 20
Brake sens: 10
Ride h: 5/5 (35/35 at Nordschleife)
Spring: 16.6/14.4
Damp ext 9/7
Damp comp: 9/7
Anti RB: 3/5
Camber: 2/1.5
Toe: 0/-0.30
Brakes: 5/7

And it didnt work well, the grip isnt good at the speedway track :( You have to brake to fix the corners :( And the AI cars is far away...

Any video of this track?

I used the ZR1 Race Modded with all the upgrades on and the only change I made to the setup was adding downforce and I was able to win both races.

I used the stealth model Mclaren F1 to beat it with ease.

Used this tip and won with ease also. I found that they catch me on the straights but during turns I pull away. Weird how the stealth model is heavier and has less power yet can keep pace.

I used a full upgraded McLaren F1. The Daytona event was ok but I struggled like hell on the Indianapolis race. I had to let one of the group C cars get in front of me and then i slip streamed it all the way to the front runners (by the way, crank up your gear ratios because you can beat them at top speed). I nailed 1st place on the final lap but it made for a great race! It felt like I actually earned the Minolta afterwards.

Just a quick question, but how does the Veyron on the daytona? (I'll get to that race soon) Fully tuned up, got like 1157HP and runs 440km/h with ease, but someone tried it yet?

You mean the Like The Wind Daytona track? I think it'd be pretty bad on that due to all of the sharp corners. If you're talking about the oval it'll be alright.

I used the Zonda, fully upgraded. Camber set to 4.0 and ride height set to -10, top speed to 390. Was good for both races in the event and grinding afterwards.

I was able to complete the first event with the GT-R V Spec. Don't have a car that can keep up with the race cars on the second event, so exploring my options for that race.

Fully tuned ZR1 '09 will win both races easily....but remember you have to put the racing modification on it...at least I had to...
