Which car to use in ''Like the Wind'' lvl 21 A-SPEC Mode?

I messed around with both the Veyron and the Furai with absolutely no success whatsoever. Decided to bite the bullet and get the Corvette , surely it couldn't be any worse. Upgraded to Race modification , Racing softs and all the other upgrades apart from Supercharger as per guide. What a difference i completed Daytona on the 1st attempt and Indy on the 2nd , all i had to do was add full downforce and adjust the gear ratios , the car is set up perfectly from the get go as long as you make sure you're heading in a straight line before gunning the throttle in the lower gears , couldn't believe how well the car handled and how easy it was to do in the end , thanks to all who suggested the Corvette. 👍

What's your gear ratio? I didn't even think of that... Lol.

What's your gear ratio? I didn't even think of that... Lol.

I don't remember the actual ratio(s) - just set the top speed to about 220 mph for Daytona Road and about 235 mph for Indy. Set 'em high enough so you don't hit the rev limiter when drafting. The car is nutz and the prize you win with it is a lot nutzer!

I did those with the Chaparral 2J.
cost a fortune but it looks pretty cool, is really small, and no car can keep up with it in the turns.
I did both A and B in it.

A miracle indeed...I have my Mclaren stealth car...not even close to winning...

My Zonda R can hang around 9th or so...but doesn't have the hp to keep up.. (even at 900+hp)

I had the same experience with my Zonda, just would not cut it, then I got the Peugeot 908, case closed. :)

I tried Like the Wind with the ZR1 RM but man, this car sucks with pad control.

Then I went to B-Spec, won a Zonda R and did both races with it first try. After that, I did them again with the Minolta race car I won and that almost felt like cheating.

So, my tip is if you're stuck, don't bother wasting money on the ZR1, get the Zonda in B-Spec.

I can't seem to keep get better than 5th. Does anyone know how I should tune the F1 to win the race. I have already beaten Indy.

Thanks and any help is much appreicated!

I got the car fully built with soft tires. I turned the downforce all the way up to win at Indy but I just can't seem to win at the Road course at Daytona or I also have a Zr1 if anyone knows the tune on that.

ZR1is easy.. there is a tune on here for it just search it :) as for mclaren i dont have one but whatis the problem you have? oversteer? too slow? not fast enough through corners?

My mangy old Furai with 1,000,000 in damage absolutely crushed Like the Wind at both Indy and Daytona in the first complete try. It's crazy to spend an additional penny when you can use the Furai for free as a prize car.

I can't thank you enough for your suspension tune for the Furai. It handles perfectly - it feels like a formula car now. And it got me 'Like The Wind'! 👍

I can confirm Veyron beats this challenge... Not the "square" track, but the other bendy one... I think it was Daytona.. quite easy because you gain so much on them on the big "straight" bend... The Big U-bends. So yes, it was very doable with a fully tuned Veyron.

For the other track, the "only left turns" track = Pagani Zonda R did the trick. If you add downforce on the front you can even turn easier, way faster than any of the other cars

its just as rothrin says, the furai is good for this competition .. i had my trouble with the veyron at the corners .. straight its a beast but in my opinion a pain in the ass in corners ... take the furai ... always slipstream and you will win it in no time

The Veyron is a pain in the ass, but its quite easy to win with aswell if you got the same attitude you have when you are doing licenes, learning to know the car, when to break, you know. The feel :)

Pagani Zonda R, fully tuned with extra downforce on the front will get it for you, You wont even have to break as much in the corners. Really easy with a Zonda R 09

I did it with the ZR1 RM and it was easy in both tracks, in the first one i ended with and advantage around 30 seconds.

I'm in the process of trying to do it , i'm using the Honda Epsom NSX, COST 950,000,
i made it lighter, race tyres soft, rigidity improvement, stage 3 engine tune, racing exhaust, stage 3 turbo, bumped it up to 684 BHP, i'm geared up for 242 mph and its competing had about 8 attempts though, got traction set at 3, i think with a bit of tweaking and take every corner well its deffo possible with this car, i got into second place lap 4 in great posistion to slip lead car but got took out from behind so its just a matter of time and patience...great fun though

I did the Indy one with the furai with 0.084 ahead.
The Daytona one, with the ZR1. had to turn ABS on 1 cause my brakes would lock the front wheels. tried different settings and kept ending with locking front wheels.

I used the tune tips that are on the forum for the ZR-1 RM but used diferent settings on pre-race screen.

Manual Transmission
TCS control-4
active direction-off
ESP-off
ABS-1

i've won with this settings on both races easy

I can't thank you enough for your suspension tune for the Furai. It handles perfectly - it feels like a formula car now. And it got me 'Like The Wind'! 👍

Thank you for the acknowledgment, Jamster. It means a lot to me to help others improve their game and then receive a little positive feedback.

Hi Guys,

I did both events with the ZR-1 RM, not even tuned to the max. Highly reccommend the car not only for these eventss. You can Gold alnost anything with it - great in both handling and accelleration. Good downforce adjustability as well.

Absolutely demolished Daytona, even with a couple of mistakes.
Indy was a little bit tricky (not fully tuned) but not especially hard. You should increase the downforce just enough to corner (almost) full speed, but not more. Some strategic driving and blocking might be necessary as well.

Another reccommendation for the Vette. I hope this hepls.
