Yes easily , I won by 6.5 seconds, if I'd had one more corner I would of started lapping backmarkers đź‘Ť
nice but do you have to mod it up?

Hey guys, dumb question maybe, but are you referring to the Furai you unlock in the Amateur B-Spec race? Seems like a pretty powerful car to unlock so early. Or are you referring to something different from the used dealership?
My mangy old Furai with 1,000,000 in damage absolutely crushed Like the Wind at both Indy and Daytona in the first complete try. It's crazy to spend an additional penny when you can use the Furai for free as a prize car.
Here's my setup:
Ride Height-------------0 / 0
Springs-----------------13.0 (F) / 11.0 (R)
Dampers (Ext'n)-------7 (F) / 4 (R)
Dampers (comp)-------7 (F) / 4 (R)
Anti-Roll Bars-----------4 / 2
Camber------------------1.8 (F) / 1.2 (R)
Toe-----------------------0.00 (F) / 0.60 (R)
LSD----------------------15/50/25
Brakes-------------------6/3
Downforce---------------Maximum F & R

Hi Guys,
I did both events with the ZR-1 RM, not even tuned to the max. Highly reccommend the car not only for these eventss. You can Gold alnost anything with it - great in both handling and accelleration. Good downforce adjustability as well.
Absolutely demolished Daytona, even with a couple of mistakes.
Indy was a little bit tricky (not fully tuned) but not especially hard. You should increase the downforce just enough to corner (almost) full speed, but not more. Some strategic driving and blocking might be necessary as well.
Another reccommendation for the Vette. I hope this hepls.

I know this is a small win to some, but it felt like a triumph for me. Glad to have it too; some of the races in the game have been a bit easy, and I was hoping for something to spice it up a bit.
I finished the Daytona race with my tuned Tommy Kayra ZII, but I get slaughtered on the corners. I'm not sure what's the best setup for an oval, but I tried getting the gear ratio to 370 km/h, cambers to 1.5 front and .5 rear, ride height at lowest and suspension at stiffest. Any suggestions on the car adjustments? The other car I have is the Veyron, but it seems to be pretty useless on the corners.
They are referring to the B-Spec race unlock.
While the Furai is a nice car, I had already bought the Corvette and Race Modded it. After a day and a half of trying and tuning, I finally got it. For the most part, I used the tuning provided by Dotini (thanks, mate), with a few changes. I used RS tyres, and instead of max rear downforce, I used 55 - I felt this gave me a little more breathing room and made the car easier to control at higher speeds. Speaking of speed, I used a setting in the mid-240s. No assists, except ABS set at 1.
I've played the series since GT1, but I've not been as happy to have a race out of the way with as I am this one. Just seemed like every time I would get into a position to take first when I wanted, I'd get bumped or swiped, or a meteor would fall from the sky and send my car hurtling across the track. In the end, my win at Indy was dramatic. Coming around the last turn I was in the lead, but cars sprang up on both sides of me being slip-streamed by other AI. I fended them off, and won, my knuckles white on the controller. The end results were as follows:

Thanks for the reply, and sorry for taking so long to re-reply.When you say "slaughtered on the corners," what exactly do you mean? Are you breaking, or are you getting hit? If I knew exactly what was happening, I might be able to help.
I set the downforce to maximum, which is 15 / 35. Although it makes sense to take some from the back. Also, I set the power distribution to be 90 back and 10 front.Assuming you are fully tuned - you might try adjusting your down-force a bit to help in the corners. While some advocate a max setting for both, I found I needed to lower my back end some, as I was getting muddy in the corners. On my ZR1 (RM), I was set to 55 out of 60 on the back which allowed me more fluidity at high speeds while my front end was still pressed to the trap.
Just ABS on 1.Additionally, what, if any, assists are you using? At Indy they should all be off, with the exception of ABS, which I left at 1 (though you probably should never be breaking in any serious fashion anyway).
This race is definitely difficult for some of us, or those without "proper" race cars up until this point. If you can give any more info, I (and I am sure others) will do what I can to help.
Edit: Looking at your tune, you might want to up the speed a bit. When I did it, my transmission was tuned to hit around 389-395 km/h (242-246 mp/h). I found that, if I tuned any lower, I was topping out on the straight aways and losing room going into a corner. Additionally, while getting drafted, I was hitting speeds of around 378 km/h or higher.

Did both of them (Gold) with ZR1 RM, Pretty easy actually. Did Indy on 1st go and Daytona on 3rd attempt!
I did both with the Furai. I think all that was available for upgrade was the chassis reinforcement. So... I spent 30,000 credits.![]()
