Which car to use in ''Like the Wind'' lvl 21 A-SPEC Mode?

Mazda Furai Concept '08 which you get from b-spec at a pretty low level, think it's level 8 roadster race. You can do all-stars race pretty easy and like the wind first race too, but you'll have to knock out some for your first place on the second race of Like the Wind (just get first and block them when they want to pass you if you're into that :P).

Also try to tune it as much as you can because you'll need it!

Ive done the like the wind, both races now, what should i use for all stars firai at low gears?

And for Nascar? Is it hard?
 
OK, I won the 2nd event with the Furai and got the Minolta race car! Yesterday I had missed upgrading the engine to stage 3 :P

I used the default set up for the 1st event (Indy) as far as I can remember, with less than the 550hp given by the stage 3 engine upgrade which I had not bought. I basically upgraded everything I could:

Weight 675Kg
Transmission set to 390Km/Hr (395 would have been perfect)
Downforce 25F - 40R (had no handling issues)
Ride Height -5F -5R

As many of the GT events go, this one comes down to the right car, set up, ability and a good dose of luck. My biggest issue was always the AI ramming me from behind and making me crash, or simply lose momentum. Drafting is key, always stay on the inside of every corner (except at the start), after each corner I moved to the inside of the straights to allow others to pass me, immediately getting behind them so I could be sling shot through the lead at the incoming corner. If I can and it is helpful, I'll make a video.

For me the Furai is the way to go for both races. You'll have to do the events a few times to get it right, but it pays well and keeps on giving experience.

Appreciate the post and your advice, but the event is restricted to sports hard tires so buying the soft was a waste of my money because it then defaulted me back to comfort soft. Bob still won the race comfortably though. So don't bother with the tire upgrade!

I was able to do the NASCAR event rather easy, the trick to it was turning off the ABS. That's a whole different subject for a whole different thread though.

I gear out all of my cars that I enjoy driving, the minolta I got everything available for, fun car to drive!
 
Just won both races with the McLaren F1 stealth model (Gamestop DLC car)

Stage 3 engine upgrade, Chassis stiffening, soft race tires.

Took some time to setup the car and practice at Daytona.

Wasn't that difficult. Won Indy on the first try.
 
If you have the McLaren FI stealth car from the gamestop DLC you can use it to do the "Like the wind" races. Max out the power and use soft racing tires.
 
been trying this all day with B-Spec and I still can't win. the best result i got from bob (LV18) is 2nd with my stealth R10.
 
Well I have been at the Indy track all night and the best part of this morning with the Furai and still can't get 1st - I honestly don't know how you guys managed it, I got 1st place at Daytona no worries with the Furai. But I have tried all sorts of set-ups and this Furai just doesn't look like it'll ever come in 1st place. Any help or set-ups would be greatly appreciated - or a loan of s tealth car :sly: lol

It took a fair bit of cash to max out some cars for the B-spec driver to level up. It seems the only way to make him win is to have a car that's at least twice as good as any competition.

Winning the Indy challenge with the furai was pretty easy. Use the corners to get in front. Then keep an eye on the cars behind you to make sure you steer in front of them when the come to overtake. You can use the bump they give you for an extra speed boost.
 
hello, i need some help for this challange

i got some truble at the race in Indy (A-Spec Like The Wind on Extreme)

im currently using the Nissan Xanavi Nismo Z'06, but that car isn't fast enough:grumpy:

all my oppenents using LeMans Cars... after change the set up of my car i finisht second, but thats not good enough, i want gold:sly:

my question: which is the best car i could use, (cheap as possible:scared:) or a Set-Up for my nissan Xanavi Nismo Z'06 💡

Furai at Indy, took me hours. Won by 0.004 seconds, too close!

I won the minolta, tuned it, and it was stuck to the road, 70k every 4 minutes, I couldn't believe it.

The American only race bottom left in Extreme, Indianapolis, Corvette ZR-1 RM, fully tuned is 4 minutes long, gives 98,000 per race.
 
Maybe a really stupid question but when installed the racing mods on a car does it still need to be modified on tuning I.E turbos ect... dont want to waste to much money thanks!

Will it help? I think if you go to the section that allows you to add turbos and the like if it allows you to add it it will help. Whether YOU need it or not kind of depends on the race and your skill level. A fast enough great handling car can make up for not being an experience driver. Allows you to get in front fast and gives you room for error. But it depends on what you are looking for.

Hey thanks for your reply im by no means the fastest guy in the world but hold my own...i'm looking to tackle the like the wind cup and american championship cup hoping the ZR1 will do what i wish :nervous: as i've just spent near 5OOK lol
 
I got to level 21, and I wanted to start the event i like the wind

I have a 1212 hp Bugatti Veyron, but I can not win, because the bugatti is immanovrabile, and my opponents weigh 500 kg less than me

winning is important, I would give a nissan that I would very much ........

tips?
 
I can't win B-Spec Like the Wind on Daytona using the Minolta, he gets third every time but can't take first. The car is more than capable, but he over-brakes and doesn't overtake in typical B-Spec fashion. Any tips on how to win this race?
 
The Furai didnt cut it for me. It was to slow, even fully modded.
Got to look for another race car that fits the bill
