Which car to use in ''Like the Wind'' lvl 21 A-SPEC Mode?

I beat this event with the '89 Merecedez Sauber C9 Race Car. Got gold on the first try around Indianapolis, and took me two tries at Daytona to beat it.

Ironically, I've been trying really hard to beat the "All Stars" event with this car, but I always end up losing control of the car. Will try the Toyota Minolta for it instead.

The Sauber is an amazing machine, but very it is also very prone to spinning out, kinda tricky to master it.

I beat it with the McLaren F1 Stealth, just now. Downforce all the way up on front and rear, made the top speed 230mph, and racing soft tires. Also has all upgrades done.

Will a tuned up SLR McLaren '03 be quick enough?

I'm trying to find something I can win that will be good enough to gold it. I've got nearly 2million but I don't want to spend it on a race car just to win another unless i have to.

EDIT: **** it, bought the corvette and won the races just then.

I have got tips that the Z1R is the car for the "Like the wind" Superspeedway Indie race.

I have tune it to max but the grip isnt good in corners :( Anyone here got any settings for the car?
I also tried Veyron, but it has no grip :(

Or is there any other car to drive on this course?

Mazda Furai Concept fully upgraded, you win it fairly early in the B-Spec events. It's high downforce means you can take corners flat out, the AI cars will gain on the straights but you'll pull away again in the corners.

Put downforce on the front wing if it doesn't take corners. Also make sure you use race medium or soft tyres for max grip.

I have the soft tires :) Could you write the figures on the downforce?

Havent started on B-spec yet, so that would take to long :)

Put maximum front wing on your car, I can't say the figure because I don't have this car.
I won it with a Ford NASCAR with 43 front wing and 41 rear wing something like that. One thing is sure, the car you win for this event is awesome, and you will have no problem winning it again with this car if you feel like.

Settings:

Gear ratio: 370~380Km/h
Downforce: Front @ Max, Rear @ Half.
Suspension: Found that whichever setting is ok, so leave it default.

You should be able to do it. Do the straights from the inside, that way opponents won't be able to slipstream pass you. ;)

What mode?

Running B-Spec on Indy at the mo, max downforce on front and rear with engine tuned to 249 for top speed, running 46.'s laps so is pretty fast!

So damn frustrated with this race. I have tried A) the Zonda R, fully tuned. and B) the Mazda Furari also fully tuned. I cannot seem to get anywhere close to winning these races. Yes I have seen that others have used the vette, but I dont want to dump money on that car when I dont think its going to work. I need some serious help with this one. Its too damn frustrating right now.

I just tried this as the Mazda Furai came up in the dealership. It worked. You might not win by a lot (I won by 0.046) but if you tr and block the other cars off when on the last stretch of the 5th lap (as they are all faster than you) then you shouldn't have any problems.

I used by BMW V12 LMR, tuned the transmission for 410 mph and adjusted the ride height front and back, and won by about 20 seconds
I put soft racing slicks on and I dont even have to brake or let off the throttle the whole race. the car is a rocket ship

With the Mazda Furai put the top speed to 249mph and downforce to its highest setting. Just drive flat out for the whole race and you'll either have to block a car or two on the final straight or they won't catch you before the line.

I used the ZR1 RM, max front downforce, drop the ride height all the way, ~2° camber in the front, ~1° camber in the rear, gear ratios set for ~250mph. Put a brick on the throttle pedal, steer your way to victory.

Dam, all the lmp's are rockets, but they're so expensive the used ones are 4 million :P

haha yeah, you get what you pay for though, in the long run I think those cars make you money just because you can keep sending them into every race for an easy W lol

I had to get the BMW though, not only is it rare in the fact I can only get it in the used car section, but im a huge BMW fan so the purchase made sense for me :)

make sure you bump up the downforce and have soft tyres, all mods in the tuning section, also the Rigity will help you. having said this i did win the race by only .018sec!

I pumped about 1 000 000 credits through a few different cars last night with no success at winning this damn race

On the plus side I now have 100% modified '09 GTR, Audi R8, Veyron and a Lamborghini SV.

Guess I'll buy the vette tonight and use that so i can get the damn Minolta.

Who knew I would get stuck on two serious races. GT all stars and Like the Wind. Im trying the Vette, and if not its going to be saving up for a killer car. Been at these two races way too long.

If you want a free pass, save up 4 million for a Peugeot 908. It seems to be faster than every other LMP/Group C car.
