Which hard drive would I be better off with for GT6 digitally?

Why not just use the HDD that comes with the PS3? Works just fine.

Because I am running my stock 120gb and the memory is not enough. I am upgrading my drive regardless. I just want to get the one that is fastest.

Also forget to mention the faster drive has 4gb of NAND flash while the slower drive has 8gb of flash. It is an interesting trade off. Do I get the one with all around faster speed or the one with slower speed but a larger amount of SSD dynamic storage?

If you have budget for SSD, go that route.
Next step down price-wise is a hybrid HD

As for conventional SATA HD's for the PS3...
...some have reported heat issues with 7200RPM drives.
The HD-spec PS3's are sold with 5400RPM drives.

I've upgraded from a 250GB 5400rpm (stock in my slim), to a 320GB 7200rpm without issue at all, in improved my GT5 load times considerably, I obviously can't tell for GT6 since I've had it in there the whole time, but the game seems very fast anyway.
