Lots of fast bits at Spa, so I'd try the GTR first. In all honesty, you'll need a decent build for it as the CSL is a tremendously well balanced car.

Have you trolled through this site yet..?? Direct links to a huge number of builds from these hallowed pages...

Yea, i have tried that site, which of the m3 gtr tunes would you recommend for a 550pp spa race?

CyKosis - You missed the other thread that gtgta86 started. Seems to be too lazy to try different tunes from that link and take what he likes to build his own tune. Just wants someone to spec build a tune for him for Spa for 550pp for racing soft tires...

gtgta86 - for this thread, it's only two cars. Why not test both then YOU report back to the community which one you liked better for SPA?

That i was going to do anyway, but was asking someone else for their opinion, its hard for me to take the parts i like out of a setup if i dont know wat each part does..... But ok, i will just test my nsx setup on it

Depends how much the car has been tuned up, my M3 maxed with no aero and my GTR no aero and weight reductions, the GTR is 513HP at 1300+ kilos, the CSL at 487HP at 1100+ kilos. The CSL gets 197 on straight, the GTR 190. They both have near the same lap time making my CSL faster on high speed straights while the GTR faster in corners despite its weight, a fully tuned GTR is even slower BTW. So depending on reductions and engine upgrades you'd be suprised at how much quicker a car could be.

One thing i have noticed, is that the more torque a car has the slower the lap time if you have a pp limit, is that true?

I've noticed the oppisite, same goes for mid-range and high-range turbo, mid-range turbos good for conering, high-range is for straights.

Generally speaking, you'll get more usable power under a PP cap from other parts and power limiter, then you will with a mid-range turbo.
RPM adders and/or high rpm turbo's can usually land the most usable HP for the PP you can get. ;)

my nsx has 45 kgfm, and my jag s type & xkr r performance have huge torque, my s type has around 90 kgfm torque, and i love it but its way too slow in corners, well to be honest the whole track, i tried all the setups for s type/xkr/m3csl/m3gtr, but none of them are what i would call fast, the s type tune defanatly is better than a stock setup, but doesnt make much difference except for the fact that the wheels do not spin out when accelerating out of a corner, same goes for the xkr, and the m3 gtr tune i tried is good, but does not turn very sharp around the corners, meaning im loosing too much time, what would really be nice is if a update would come out making pp limits more fair, because at the moment it is no way fair.

My GTR setup with wing, my newer setup not posted is faster. And also a no aero CSL. Depending on your mileage power limiter may need adjustment. CSL online tire wear 6'39.xxx. No tire wear 6'34.2xx. The 6 speed version quicker but setup so no drafting, it will just be redlining. The 5 speed version a little slower in corners but will top out in 5th gear and leaves 6th for drafting. I personally prefer the 6 speed but it's not in any way superior as they both put up similar lap times http://www.google.com/url?q=https:/...cQFjAD&usg=AFQjCNEX8e25plpHFeY6vjqdl6uInnU1RQ

Try this out

The Thrustmaster M3 GTR

Curious on how it handles? here are the reviews.. apparently, it's pretty damn good.
Obsessive Reviews reviews The Thrustmaster. rates 19/20
DaDog reviews The Thrustmaster, says the car lives up to the name

If you like the car, we at ThecardboardBox tuning would love to hear from you!
ENJOY!! 👍
thanks, i will try your tune out, with no spoiler and racing softs on spa, my best lap is a 2,15,9 with my nsx, but could defanatly get it faster as i never really had a perfect lap, always some kind of slow up, wheather that is other racers or my mistake, my m3 gtr has the same setup as my nsx haha, so not very fast at the moment, i will try, and leave some feedback, thanks

i will have a look and test it out, i did see that you are on nurburg and sports soft tyres, and im on spa and racing softs, but as long as it feels safe at the eau rouge corner then it should be good, i will test all the m3 tunes out as im also looking for a csl tune, i will let you know what i think compaired with the thrustmaster gtr tune, thanks

No, all mine on racing softs. I didnt specify and the fellow that tested my GTR was running sport softs. I'm not sure if the gearing will fit for spa, but you can adjust final per track. The CSL I would choose over the GTR, I have multiples of both cars, some lack weight reductions, engine upgrades and some aero or no aero. I've tried different combination and the best results came from the CSL. It's only true advantage was top speed was 5 to 8 MPH faster throughout the rings high speed straights and high speed cornering. The only place the GTR was noticeably faster was through slow corners, especially the carrousel ( Spelling?). It was by visual speed 10mph faster and more stable. I believe this is due to my GTR stock weight keeping it planted.
