Which seat to get?

As the title suggests which seat should I get for my cockpit? I already have my cockpit built and works quite well, but for some time I have been craving a proper seat.

So I have been narrowing it down to these two choices:

Fully Reclinable Bucket Sparco Style Carbon Fiber Racing Seats
SKU: RS-BK-103CF

or

Both are under $200 which is my budget and they have to be shipped to Canada. Has anybody had any experiences with either of these seats? Or can anybody have any other suggestions for buying a seat in Canada to negate border costs?

I prefer cloth seats mostly but the first ones you linked to are $145 a pair... if you can use the second one for something that seems like a great deal..

Yeah that vinyl would probably be too noisy and cheap looking. I fixed the first link post which changed to the racing seat.

I think it looks very professional comparable to a high end Sparco seat at about the fraction of the price. However I am concerned about the leg length and comfort and adjustability, I guess you just can't have it all!

Make sure that you've been sitting in a bucket before you buy it. If you don't fit into it perfectly, you could/will be uncomfortable quite quickly.

If the seat is more adjustable then you (and friends) have a much better chance of getting it to fit you, instead of the other way around.

Cheers,

Why spend money on an expensive bucket, when you can go to the junkyard, find a prelude, mr2, or any other sport car seat for like 40 bucks.

The second seat, from Summit Racing, seems to have more adjustable features. It has both front-to-back sliders and is a true recliner. Whereas the first one really can't recline it seems. I might get the second one on specs alone, but as was mentioned, the key is how they feel when actually seated in them. Both seem to be great seats within that budget.

Nice find 👍

Yeah I know what your're saying and I did entertain that idea but I just wanted the look and feel of a new seat, particularly a racing seat. So I figured I saved up the money and shopped around for the closest I could get to a Sparco. Also I am a bit paronoid about using a seat that someone died in or something like that, it's like bad karma :nervous:

Anyways I'm surprised that everyone likes the APC seat, I guess comfort and adjustability is more important than looks, who knew?!

Hopefully when I get my seat I'll post a little review as well.

I'd recommend going w/the the chair from the 1st post; Though it's not a true 'recliner', it does look to have more support/cushion for your legs, which if you spend any amount of time racing in one sitting, is definitely going to be a benefit more then a hindrance.

Just my $0.02 though...
