I watched Lock, Stock and two smoking barrels yesterday, a brilliant movie.
Anyway Snatch is VERY similar to Lock, Stock their both very funny, quite violent and also have similar layout. So which do you think was the better movie?

I vote Lock, Stock because it was Guy Richie's first movie and imo it has a bit more violence.

Not even close. Lock, Stock is a far superior movie. While I love Pitt and Benicio Del Toro, "Snatch" looks like a wanna be of "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels." Actually, I did consider "Snatch" as a Hollywood remake of Lock, Stock, when it came out. I do have both on DVD though. :P

Maybe its because I saw Snatch first, and that kind of humour and style was wearing off on me once I watched Lock Stock?

I really don't remember too well what even happens in each movie. Just a vaugue general impression is left, which may or may not have anything to do with the real world quality of either movie!

Actually, whatever movie of the two had the joke (I'm really mixing them up that much) about "replica" being written on the side of some goon's gun and the dude in the bar being a real smartass about it is the best movie just for that joke.

I haven't seen "Snatch", since the DVD first came out. I think I'll have to watch it again.....

P.S. "Lock, Stock" is the first movie I saw Jason Statham in and second time I saw Vinnie Jones in, after "Gone in 60 Seconds".
