i was just wondering because i always use the in car tacho and occasionly look at the gran turismo speedo

sorry if the thread is unessecery!

i'd love it if you could turn off the hud but I'm using both I guess

edit: but then again I don't pay attention to the speedo that much anyways

Yeah, no HUD would be realistic as can be; and plus that I hate GT HUD since GT4 and GT5P, because there are so many those things, tachometers and etc. that are just simply useless to me. If you ask me, GT4 Prologue have the best GT HUD ever.

Option for a no hud while in cockpit view would be realistic as it can get.
But I use the GT speedometer for now, since its a lot easier to read than the dials on my tv.

I try to use the cars rev counter as much as I can. If its too difficult to read I go by the games display.

I'm not that fussed by the actual speed of the car as I think its more important to be in the correct gear for whatever is about to happen next.

I would like to have the possibility to customize the HUD. Like in my case I would select the chrono and and the track map. (just to learn it at first and then I would desactivate it)

But to answer the question, I use the rev meter on the dash but and the chrono.

I use almost all. The speedo to keep my speed limits at the sweepers, tach for knowing where I am in reference to the power band (for short shift or redline) if needed. Gas and brake when reviewing other peoples replay for brake points and to see if they are leftfoot braking. Suggested gears when racing, but not necessarily following it just for reference.

I would like to have the invisible hood there too just to see how close I am following the guy ahead. But if not they should just make it where the point of contact for all cars should be at the very edge of the bottom of the screen. That would be the quick fix for that glitch.

I'd really like a customizable HUD myself. I don't need a tach, speedo, or anything like that, as they're all in the dash view, but it'd be nice to have a gear indicator, (somehow I can never keep track in video games, it's not a problem for me in real life, but I guess I lose track if I'm not actually moving the stick into position.), and timing/position stuff is essential.
