A guy has made a garageeditor and he is releasing it soon.

PEOPLE DONT MAKE 1000000000000000 THREADS ABOUT GT5 HYBRIDS AND SEND ME 1000000000 MESSAGES!

Yes, lets start a trade chain.

Well spread da love :sly:

Yes, lets gets start a trade chain.

I heard somebody started a giveaway thread in the marketplace.
But it got cleaned very fast...seems not accepted on GTP.

But if, as said by others, a game editor got released, everybody can upgrade their cars as they want.
Only difference would be the tune you put on it...to not fly out of each corner

No half–way serious racing leagues or series would be affected by a 3k hp civic. I don't see this as much more than a novelty.

I haven't seen any Praiano tunes for a 3000+ BHP Civic yet. :Scared:

I would want an old 60's Honda with a bit more go. Maybe the S800 Race Car thingie with a Lamborghini under it. But I think this might all stem from boredom. The last real update was a track with four combinations. Any cars are welcome but add little to a brilliant game. The only cure for boredom would be Spec 3 or GT6.

I think a lot of us are getting bored if we are getting this excited about a car we will never race on a proper track.

There's no way that I'm having one of these in my garage. The simple fact is, they'll either end up screwing your save data or, if PD decide to take this seriously, a possible temp-ban or something similar.

So, whilst it's good fun and all, it's too risky. :)

Those who live by the sword, will die by the sword. Good luck to all getting involved with these cars. If you think that Sony/PD is not paying attention to whats going on here, your sadly mistaken. And I'm also willing to bet that they will not only take action against those creating these cars, but also those that are using them. Sony has sued before, my bet is they will do it again. Its all fun and games till you get caught, then you'll be crying the blues.

Because they have nothing better to do than chase after people with a hacked pretend car? It's not much different than the hacked tickets and suits.

Hypothectically, if I were to say I obtained this 102048hp Red Bull X1, would that be aganist the AUP?

All were doing talking, just talking.....walks away slowly[whistling]:sly:

I fully agree with everything CargoRat said though.

Well, no. Trying to trade it would be though.
Don't quote me though. Ask a moderator. :)

OK. Ill just share some hypothetical stories.
Im currently on 1.05 with the hybrid X1 and it's REALLY easy to break out of Indy. Im taking photos of it right now!
That was a good story huh.

Good to see your back, all well?

I agree there is a line where people should not go over. I also agree that PD is monitoring the market. But as software developer myself, I can only come up with that it's a flaw in PD's software. There are ways to block anything. Especially when they have the problem with online lobbies and/or trading.

But if Sony really wanna sue me for "receiving" a few video-game cars...well let them come please!
Doubt they really wanna invest so much money to sue everybody?
By now 100 or maybe already 1000 people received that Honda Civic or any of the other Hybrids.

If Sony would, it would make a great news item..

"People afraid to buy PS4, in case they receive an in-game item. You can get sued!"

If someone can make a 3000hp civic what is to stop them from make a 950hp Nascar? It's all fun at the moment but online racing could easily be ruined.

I'm all about making the game more fun. This would be a good time for PD to patch these cars and as a gesture of good will give us the extra tuning options.

Lawsuit? Highly doubtful unless revenue is being lost by a company.

Account banning? That's not unheard of for people using glitches to obtain uber-items or to get around in-game restrictions.

Maybe nothing will happen. Who knows?

In this economic crisis, I also doubt Sony/PD has that kind of money available.
They already ban every PS3 that is JB'd..but they cannot just ban 90% of GT5 players becuase they happen to have received one of the following:

Tradeable GTA suits
Tradeable GTA cars
Glitched Civic ticket (Hiding 2J)
Glitched hybrid cars

But I do also think nothing will happen. Maybe a patch here and there to block trading them or joining a online lobby. As that can affect gameplay for others.

I'm not saying that they actually will do any banning. I'm just saying that it's a possibility since it's happened in other games over the years.

I agree 100%.

Banning all accounts involved in this would be so easy for them. All they have to do is write a quick query to their database and they could find where these cars were created and who passed them to whom.

Just look at your log people, they know and log every thing you do in the game.

They don't know if the Civic you received is a "Hybrid" or not, only that you received a Civic.👍

Why not just sit tight and wait to see.👍

I think PD knows if someone uses these "hybrid" cars, every time it's used online or sent via gift mechanism, PD servers could log the car's statistics + IDs of the car's ticket, that's how I think, PD can say about how many miles driven online by all GT5 drivers, making PP adjustments based on online races data logs ( although a bit insane with FR cars ).

All they need to do is make database query for Civic/ any car suspected for hybrid with certain criteria, HP, lap time or mismatched vehicle ID logged in their servers ... then PD would check the player's log, sent/received gifts, the origin of the car, the accounts used, PS3 MAC address from which the "hybrid" car originated from, .... if they give the effort, they can. Or they can make a little program to check the game save garage when player is signed in on PD's server ( community + profile logs on GT life works similar ways I think ). Any bizarre or mismatched IDs or stats, PD would know the exact PS3 MAC + user account.

Does anyone remember when
  • Go-Karts had an exploit where you could revert to 1.00 & put Racing Soft Tyres on the Kart which is restricted to Sports Soft?
  • (PD took notice of this.)
  • Some cars like one of the lambo's could get Dirt Tyres Glitched onto them.
    Then participate in Rally events.
  • (PD took notice of this.)

PD issued an update to check those offending parameters and now when you select those cars the parameters are reset.

The upcoming maintenance could be a patch,
If so, it will likely reset the offending params of any BHP boosted car upon selection.
If not this patch, the next. (PD noticed the Tyres, they will notice this Civic)

The PS3's Mac Address never leaves your network.
A console is Banned by a Console ID.

I don't think they would do what you have said.
  • I think PD's logs are for fun not security.
  • I think PD simply record a String of Text for each Trade/Gift completed.
(i.e. Joe recieved the following Gift from Bill : Honda Civic)
  • I don't think they go to the trouble of recording the Console ID's, Account ID's & all the Car Parameters of each Trade. (If you sign your save data to another account, all logs of your events complete, Cars/Gifts recieved will be on that account too)
  • Nobody wants to ban their subscriber's. Just correct them.
