I would say lamborghini, the first ever mid engined road car was built by them. And there v12's are nice. (discluding the 1903 ford where the engine was directly below the driver)
Ferrari's acceleration doesn't compare to the lambo's, though ferrari is famous and one of the most know supercars makers around.
The buggati is nice but 1000hp in a v16 doesn't scream acceleration, but top speed this baby would take it all.
The best car for accleration would have to be the 2002 lingenfelter corvette, on performance alone the $150,000 estimate price is well worth your money. The Lingenfelter c5 with 800hp can do 0-60 in under 2 seconds, and 0-100 in 4. And its quater mile is in the 9 second range at 150mph. Niether ferrari or lamborghini can match that acceleration, or top speed at that matter.
