This knight was on his way to save the damsel in distress:

Too bad it turned out to be a porno. It's funny how this story would have turned out if it had been the real thing. The guy would have been a hero, the story would say "knight rescues woman from dastardly bandits". Instead, he's made out to be a loon, arrested, and his sword is taken.

On the otherhand, you'd better be sure that you're listening to the real thing and not a movie. I mean, if I watch a movie and somebody's yelling for help, I don't expect the neighbor to bust down the door with guns blazing.

Would he actually go to jail or would that only happen if charges are filed? If that happened to me, I'd want him to pay to fix the door and maybe a bit for embarrassment, but I doubt I'd press charges in this instance.

I doubt he'll get any jailtime. But he may not get his sword back - which kinda sucks since it was a family heirloom.

Man, that's rough. I'm actually surprised the guy is pressing charges. he should just say, "pay for the door" and call it a day.

Seriously. That's just weak. I mean if he has it loud enough to alarm someone downstairs then part of that HAS to be on him. It's not like the guy was bored and kicked down the door for something to do! :dunce:

That article is such an innuendo...

I wonder how fast the porn-watcher lost his erection, though.

LOL...Calvary sword.....man I luaghed soooo hard... I hope they dont " charge " the guy...no pun intended..lol .

Chivalry is dead. And women killed it.

The end.

Seems like porn might have a little bit to do with it as well. I mean, if you're getting fake damsels in distress signals, how can you charge off to the rescue? I think this very serious topic was covered well in Monty Python's Holy Grail, in which Lancelot charges off to the rescue of a damsel in distress, but he ends up having gotten a misleading signal.

Are you talking about Chivalry on a whole or just in this case?

What they don't say in this article:

JSOnline
But if Van Iveren was attempting to rescue what he thought was a woman in danger he was "obnoxiously late," said Stieghorst, who said he watched the movie between 1 and 2:30 a.m., but Van Iveren did not burst into his apartment until about 11:30 a.m.

So if he thought he heard a rape, why the hell did it take him 10 hours to come to the rescue? :odd:

Seems a little strange, if you ask me...

Whats that supposed to mean?:sly:

Seriously, this was kind of a crapshoot for the guy. He could have looked like the coolest guy ever or the biggest dork ever, and it turned out the latter.
