Who's Still Playing?

I know it may seem too early to ask this as the game has only been out for a week, but after reading that some members here have already beaten the game in a mere few days and complain that it's too short, I thought I'd ask. So who's still playing Horizon? And if so, what are you doing to keep the game interesting? These questions especially go out to the 100% people.

As for me, I've been doing all kinds of things in this game. I've been spending a lot of time doing events at the street racing hubs, challenging other drivers on the road, playing online. And since I have 100% discount, I've also been spending a lot of time upgrading my cars for each class and seeing how well they do in different events and against the variety cars the other racers have. I had a huge smile on my face one time when I managed to beat a Merucielago SV with my Miata. That's just one example of the type of fun I think this game can offer. It's also my goal to own every car in the game and to customize and race most of them.

Because of all this, I'm only on my pink wrist band and I've only done 17 of the 70 festival races. Obviously, not everyone may be interested in doing what I mentioned above, but in my opinion this game will have a long lifespan if take the time to throughly enjoy it and you don't make it your main goal to beat Darius Flynt. To be honest, getting to him is pretty low on my priority list.

I haven't really cleared the game but right now, my quest is to get a 250 GTO with in-game cash.

^Uh, pretty sure you can't....

I've just been kind of cruising. I thought I'd be putting FH down for a while once Most Wanted came out, but the physics in the game disappoint me to no end, & I've found myself back in FH. :)

Guess I won't need to think about Most Wanted, in that case - which is good, as far as my credit card is concerned

Anyways, I'm not even anywhere near done yet. Still saving up for some nice cars and I've got a lot races unfinished. I don't even managed to get the gold wristband yet. And my ulitamte goal would be to beat every race on insane - which might take pretty long

Between work, kids, sharing the TV with my wife, I simply don't have the time to beat it quickly. That being said, I'm having fun just driving around doing "stuff". There's lots going on and even though I have a pink wrist band, I feel like I've only scratched the surface.

I finished the entire offline portion of the game on the weekend. I've got Rivals and the online stuff, which do really hold a draw for me, but considering this is a crack-down time of serious, high-mark assignments at school, I've got no time to further explore. I've wanted to put some time into tuning for classes (I've really gone for the fully-loaded tuning lately, with my free upgrades), grabbing more photos, and working on more painting. For whatever reason, my Miatas have been selling far better than they ever did in FM4, so I want to keep that gravy train going.

You should have a lot more time on your hands now that there are no more Maple Leafs to watch...

I am definitely still playing. I'm at about 70% completion. 7/9 Barn finds, 216/216 roads, 88/100 discount signs, 20/30 street races, every race up to purple complete, 1st in popularity and of course on my purple wristband. All I have left are the purple races and the last set of street races.

Online is where this game will live for me. I stayed up till 4 in the morning just free roaming online with some people. Drifting through the red rock canyons and blasting down the highway. Managed to hit level 41 online already and I'm nowhere near bored with single or multiplayer.

My boss won't give me the time off I begged for so I can only get to this game every few days. Still plenty to do on the map - it's hardly like the DiRT games in terms of longevity.

Im still going, 68.9% completion, all discount boards, 13 and a half hours play, 55th popularity..

In my opinion, burning out on this game with 100% completion is a bit like a binge-drinker crashing a wine-tasting. If you don't savor driving on its own, you're gonna have a short ride.

My thoughts exactly!!...ive been playing it all week, but next week ill take a bit of a break from and and play WRC 3 instead..

A very good way to look at things for sure. There's so much I haven't done, but that's ok.if I get tired of racing, I'll go cruise some roads. If I get tired with that I pull into the garage and add vanity license plates to my cars. Maybe a little paint and vinyl project.

I feel like I have a lot to do and I haven't even played online EVER.

I'm still playing. Popped back over to FM4 right now to group some liveries together and giving a RUF RT12S a spin on the Nurb GP, but still very much in love with Horizon.

I think it's great to have two great sister titles.

I still have my first wrist band and I've played it for about 2-3 days now. Too busy exploring, testing out and customizing cars, doing side stuff.

This game is something I plan on chipping away at little by little. I won't let myself rush through and potentially burn myself out, especially not when open road driving games as good as this remain scarce these days. I'm going to savor FH.

Unlike shootemups, this game seems to satisfy on different levels. Guys like myself who have owned and driven older muscle cars and some fast euro types in real life really enjoy driving around and tinkering with upgrades, etc. Others just want to race all the time. Either way, for me, it's the most "realistic" fun I've had in a driving game in a long time. Makes a nice change from driving F4 but still just as much fun.

Just finished the last event and won a huuuuuge amount of cash. I also finished the street races. Got, dunno, 17 festival events to go - and just started to collect cars. my goal is to buy them all - luckily, I've got the most expensive one, the 250 GTO, out of the way already

/edit: Yay, this marks my 1,000th post on here :D

Just working my way though it now, tried some online demolition derby today :(

Got fed up being used as the brakes!!

Still the random prizes when you level up are an interesting touch..

The online lobbies can be a nightmare when you're actually racing. Given the game's more casual nature, you'll run into a lot of idiots. I find the least of them in the spec-racing option (forget it's in-game name), but the options in there cycle way too quickly for my tastes :(

I got the game about 10 days early and ended up selling it after about 3 days of playing. I don't care about the racing, I just love cruising, well that didn't last long. I drove basically every road (didn't bother with every little road in towns) in about 2-3 hours. Had all the cars I wanted within about a day of playing and ran out of cars I wanted to buy. My biggest gripe though is that the game doesn't lend itself to driving slow (speed limit or close to it), it felt like you were doing 15 when doing 60 on the highway and so you had to really fly to make it the least bit fun. Well if you are pedal down the whole time you can cross the map rather quickly. I got 3 days of playing out of it and honestly no real incentive to pick it up again. I also don't feel like paying even more money for cars that should have been in the game in the first place (I'm talking cars that have been in Forza for years).

Beat Darius yesterday and won close to 12 million  I still haven't completed all the events though, and I've only done 9 PR stunts, I've completed all the street races so yesterday I went online and started seriously racing instead of just playing the fun games, dived into the veteran lobby and won 6 out of the 9 races I entered

Sorry to sound like a noob with this question...but what free stuff do you get for online racing?..because i havent done that yet!

Online has a level system where you can get free cars and money everytime you level up.

Ah so its like the level rewards we had in FM4!?..sounds good..ill try it out!:)
