My favorite basketball player of all time would have to be Charles Barkley.

australian basketball is obviously better to watch simply because theres much more competition in australia.......in LA.......its always a blowout....either the lakers are beating somebody badly(i.e. washington wizards last night) or the clippers are being beaten badly(seatlle those first two games)

if i had a chance to watch some australian basketball....i certainly would

Believe it or not, I got to watch Charles take on Shaq, back when Shaq played for the Orlando Magic. Those were the days. Chicago didn't stink horribly, maybe that Jordan fello had something to do with it, and the Lakers didn't have all the All-Stars. I actually flew down to Pheonix, at the time I was living in Wisconsin, and watched them battle it out. It was a fantastic game, and Pheonix won it. That was a plus.

Well if you look at the age of Horace and Kareem, they have been around for a long time. Horace, when he played for the Magic and the Bulls, kicked some serious butt. Kareem, when on the Nuggets, kicked some butt as well. Now, that they went to the Lakers, they aren't as good as those you stated, mainly because they are the older guys in a young gun group.

On the other hand, Kobe is not, nor ever will be, a legend. Will he be remembered?, of course he will. But, when you're caught with rape and you make millions a year to play a sport which you are there just to enjoy, you are just a whining ninny, nothing more. Say what you will, Kobe will always suck as a person in my mind. Maybe he can do well at basketball, but he sucks as a person.

The reason for malone, payton, horace, and kareem joined the Lakers is because they all wanted a champ ring before they retire, that's all. They all took huge paycuts and really lost rank when joining the Lakers. I believe that in two years, the teams will all have an even distribution of players and the SUPER-Lakers will be no more.

super lakers? the lakers are always super simply because theyre the lakers..............as for san antonio takeing the championship this past year.....we had some serious injuries AND that key decision in the game where he dished to horry where he should have faked and gotten the 3 free throws and the game.

Michael Jordan's problem is based on a rumor that was taken too far. He was never convicted, and that is due in part that he really DIDN'T do anything, unlike Kobe. You can't make an eyewitness lie.

The Lakers only became good due to the addition of Shaq, before that, they were the second worst at best. Clippers and Lakers were on the bottom rung for series records, nothing in comparison to the Magic, Suns, Bulls, Spurs, or Nuggets.

As for the 3 free throws, if Kobe would have dished the ball a little more during the game, they would have one. It is because he ball-hogged that they lost.
