Why can't I download GT5 TV?

I don't have a crdit card, but I don't think that's the problem. It wouldn't even let my download the free videos in GT5. I get into the cart okay, and then I "click" on the check out button, but then it goes to the store and says something like "There are no items for your account". I don't know why this is happening and it's driving me mad!:nervous:
 
OMG lol, Today I was trying to download the D1GP Ebisu program (I also dont have a credit card on PSN) and it said that the program was on the cart. After I checkout, it says "There are no items for your account". I need help with this as well!

It happens to me too. Maybe you need to give the PSN your debit/credit card number? I think it has to literally charge you $0.

You don't understand! I don't have a credit card! I live in Canada and my Debit card is NOT a VISA Cheque card. I'm not going to bore you with why I can't get a credit card (and it's not age related), but suffice it to say that I can't get one. This is not a solution. I am looking for the PSN money cards, I've asked at Blockbuster, future shop, best buy, even EB Games, and none of them have it or heard of it. But that's not the point of this, one says free and it does this, the other says $0 and it does the same thing "There are no items for your account".
 
That proberly means that you need to setup an account before you can download the free stuff. Once you have set the account up with a card, then you can download the free bits too. (I know you dont have a card etc but this is prob what needs to be done).

I have a card on my account and have never had a problem downloading free stuff.

A debit card is a SOLO card just pick SOLO and then enter your details.
 
free stuff dl's are probably cc related, secondly we live in CANADA & we get screwed over by SCEA for a lot of PS Store dl's as well... i do get that msg but mine is because i have the JDM TITE YO! version of gt5p

I tried that, but there's no SOLO option.... There's only American Express, MasterCard and Visa. I don't think Canadian debit cards are built like american ones.... My buddy even tried it using his account on my machine and it still said "There are no items available for your account" and he has both a credit card and credit on his account. I don't know if this is because I live in Canada, or if it's because I use a downloaded save game from right here on GTPlanet.
 
You can definitely download free GT-TV content without a credit card. I never set up an account since I don't have a credit card, and I downloaded free videos with no problems whatsoever. I added them to my cart, then said "pay now", and before I was asked to put in my credit card details, the download started. Even the ones where you are charged 0,00 downloaded alright.
 
It's not a problem with having a credit card or not on the PSN. Like 3-4 weeks ago I was able to download those "$0.00" programs with no problems. However yesterday and still today I can't. It must be a bug because of the 2.53 firmware update or something.
 
You guys are lucky. After the last update i can't enter GT TV anymore. It's the Japanese download version on a USA PS3 using a US account. I think they started blocking somehow.

Everytime i try to enter GT TV, it will just load forever and eventually i will exit the game with the PS button.

Don't know if this is happening for anybody else...
 
No, I can't download any of the free videos anymore. I have credit card info in, but it's irrelevant since the wallet doesn't need funds. However, the checkout always says I have nothing in my cart.
 
Its a bug, it happened before when they added a few videos, it kept saying that to me. Then after a bit they must of fixed it as I could download them, also I have never had a card on my account, so atleast here in the UK you can download free and £0.00 content without adding any funds. It appears the bug is back, although I can't test it as my PS3 has a bug,👎 it doesn't work and I have to wait until 12th January for a refurb.:grumpy:
 
Well, I went and bought a couple of $20 PSN cards (see the full story here: link) So anyway I'm going to give it a try and see if it works! Also I am thinking what if I were to just scrub my whole GT save file and try again. Will reply with news!

You are absolutely right! F#$%!:nervous::ouch: This was disasterous, and now I have two $20 US PSN cards for sale! Any takers? I'd like to know by the end of the weekend or I'm having a bon-fire, or I could make my girlfriend an account, or I can make a fifth account for myself! If you would like to get the cards, please just PM me. One of the cards is scratched but not used. I would like to hear from you by the 4th of January 2009.
 
You do not need any payment method set up with your account (credit card or other). Since the downloads you are choosing are free the PS store will be confused as no payment is needed. This is normal. Go to play or view your media and it will be listed for download there. It took me some time to figure this out.
 
I have had a number of problems myself like this myself. I have funds in my account and still haven't had any luck with the Ferrari ep1, D1GP and others :( I'm especially frustrated about the Ferrari episode as I did buy eps 2&3
 
same thing happened to me

with my american account 2 episodes of the 24hours of le mans are free (but £1.59 each on my european account ?!?).

i add them to the cart and then proceed to the checkout. but when i get there it says 'there are no items available for your account'

what do i do???

i'm sure i just need to activate something but how?
