Why can't we use clutch and h-shifter on Daily Race A?

Considering that tuning is allowed so you can change transmission types, and that there is no SR/DR impact? I was kind of looking forward to playing GT7 again after a few weeks off and to race with a manual car, only to learn that the clutch and shifter doesn't work. I know this was an issue with GT Sport that was never fixed, but one would think that after all this time, PD would have sorted it out for their next game.

I swear, this is the only racing game that does things like this. They'll quickly fix exploits so people don't beat their unfair roulette wheel, but they can't be bothered to fix an issue like this. Typical PD. I'm done with this game for good now.

Because using a clutch has an advantage of shorter shift times so they banned it in sport very early and it must have carried over to 7

I remember back in GT5P they updated the game to change the shifting time in manual transmission cars when using the Logitech G25 and G27.
Prior to the update it was possible to press the clutch, shift gear and release the clutch pedal as fast as possible, and even blip the throttle pedal a little so that could keep the rpm higher and also shift faster than in auto-clutch mode and automatic transmission mode.

Many players that didn't use the clutch pedal either because they didn't have a 3 pedals set or because they didn't know how to drive with them, were very frustrated they couldn't keep up with the faster players that use G25 and G27 with clutch, so PD just modified the system, making it more unrealistic in the process.
Up until then I was a hardcore GT player since the Play Station (original) days and GT2, GT3 and GT4 were my favourite games.

Seeing PD went out of their way to change the shifting mechanism making it more unrealistic was a huge eye opener for me.

So GT5 Prologue was my last GT game. And didn't switched on my PS3 ever again. It's been like 12 years since that. Of course I didn't get the PS4 and reading this is still the case I guess I'm jumping the PS5 generation as well.

Just because of that little detail.
I love driving manual transmission cars and not being able to use the clutch pedal like in real life is a big deal for me.
