Why did I lose two positions?

I am so confused. On the final lap of todays daily C race, I lost two positions after the race ended, however no penalty was assessed to me in the race.

I may have clipped the curb too much on my final lap, but I was over SEVEN seconds in front of the driver behind me. The car behind him was even further back.What happened?

FWIW: I cut way worse than this on accident in quals, and only received a 2 second penalty. There is no way this game gave me a 10+ second penalty for this. Also, please note the results, just about everyone but me has a red dot next to their name. Doesn't that mean they got a penalty, but the time wore off?

I don't have one because I didn't get a penalty all race. So, if this was a cutting penalty, this is VERY excessive for such a minor mistake...

EDIT: So, I just noticed that I dropped the positions as I went through the chicane. Look at my position monitor, but yet no one passed me. What gives?

Too short of a video to really know, but this looks like glitching to me. When the race glitches i have noticed that it will not correctly display my position. (i.e. im in 12th but it says im in 4th.) then as the racers cross the finish it corrects one by one and changes my postion. If you notice, it says your in 8th but as the real 8th and 9th cross the finish in front of you it changes your position respectively.

Another possibility is that you had two cars in the pit that left the pit ahead of you as you passed through, but much less likely.

It might be the bug I found where players lose sync and run the race separately.

Once players pit and exit it loses sync and only correctly displays the positions as players cross the finish line, I went from 9th to 12th yesterday.
