Why do my cars slow down

Hello.

I just wanna why do cars slow down at top speed? special muscle cars!

I were just driving my new Plymouth Superbird, when i reched top speed which is like 215 km/h or some like that it slow down to aroun 180ish

Also happen with my
'70 Challenger
RAM 1500
'70 Charger

Actually I think thats the problem. I think the last gear is set too long so hen you shift it isnt in the powerband. Gear it more toward acceleration would be my suggestion...

I thought he was saying he hit the top of 215 then drops to 180 I know those in stock form hit top gear and dont go faster unless you adjust for more top speed I could be wrong though.

I think he hit rev limiter and then speed slow down 👍

Just put your gears bit longer if you rev limiter too early.

Buy a new gearbox. Set the top speed in Settings.

If it's too low for the power you have, you'll run out of gearbox and the car will slow as the power is cut off. If it's too high for the power you have, you'll run out of acceleration and the car won't go any faster.

They're old American muscle cars, so you're probably running out of fuel.

Most old American car has 4 speeds. Buy a new transmission with 5 speeds. The fully customizable one is the best option.
