Why doesn't PD collaborate with other Sony's studios ?

I think Gran Turismo would greatly benefit from help of other studios. There is especially one studio that comes in my mind: Evolution Studios.

Evolution could really help PD in 3 domains: AI, Car modeling and Sounds.

First, the AI. The AI in MotorStorm games is one of the best I competed with. It has a very human-like behavior, it is very aggresive and won't let you win that easily. I think the same type of AI but less aggressive and more clean would work in a GT game.

Next, the Car modeling. According to PD's website there are approximately 110 employees working there and according to interviews from when GT5 was still in development a single Premium car takes 6 months. After seeing screenshots of Evolution's Drive Club, their car modeling seems to be as good as GT's Premium cars. I think outsourcing some car modeling work to Evolution would really help PD as they will have more time to concentrate on other thing.

And last but not least, Sounds. No need for words here, just watch this video:

EDIT: Here's a new realeased video showing the sounds:

As you can hear, Evolution do car's sounds pretty good !

Now all of this is already a lot, and it's just one studio! There are a lot more studio that can help PD!

PS: Sorry for my bad english.

Or PD can collaborate with to make an open world sim racing game ?
Like what Turn10 tried with Playground studios for Forza Horizon

I don't mean to cause any offence. In a way, I agree that there are better things that have been done in other racers the GT could benefit from. Equally I feel that if two teams work closely on different projects, the result would be two games with too similar features that loses both games identities.

Sorry if I've sounded harsh as I do respect your views on this.

apart from cars, forza 4 and forza horizon are very different

Fair enough. I still feel that losing each games' individual identify is still a danger and developers should open their minds to new concepts and be inspired by rivals games. A good, maybe rather radical, example is how Codemasters TOCA/Race Driver has reinvented itself through the generations. It's just my opinion though.

I don't think any company would be able to put up with some of PD's ideas.

Like the one of one person working on one car.

Now let's take it more seriously...

I think a potential partner (and PD too, for that matter) would hugely benefit from the partnership. PD would finally learn how to get their sounds right, and the other studio how to prepare amazing car models, or how to reuse their old assets (no sarcasm intended), for example.

@Cobaiye - I've only just seen this, can't believe it's so far down the list as regards votes.

PD really could do with some outside input imo, some collaboration, some sharing of core assets like car modelling etc. However, I think they are too proud & stuck in their ways to change. Kazunori's insistence on sticking to this quaint Shokunin ideology, which makes no business sense at all, would rule out any outsourcing & freeing up of in-house human resources. The more I learn about how they go about making this game, the more it defies belief at how they've gotten this far, & the more it explains why the series is being progressively ruined as PD refuse to adapt & grow accordingly.
