Why is my B-Spec driver a retard?

why does my B-Spec driver that is a level 11 still drive like a retard?

he will slam into the back of people at the start of a race

he cant pass anyone normally, acts like a pussy and backs off at every chance there is to pass - actually goes to pass then hits the brakes and looses 2 places sometimes

he slams on the brakes on the super speedway at the start/finish line allowing 2-3 cars to fly past - also slams on the brakes at the turns where all you got to do it let up on the gas a little if even that

its like a retard is driving the car! I cant stand watching the race because the stupid driver could be in first by the first corner but it takes 3 effing laps!


I drove the same courses with the same car and I never had to do anything that he did


if these are just programed driving lines as it looks to be then why not allow this

1. you drive the course and teach your driver how to drive around that course and they do the same as you did unless there is someone in the way

2. you watch the driving and correct at certain times during the race (stupid pace up and down sucks) to make a better driver

he just needs a bit of a firm hand and guiding better. I found that my driver seemed to struggle with certain races more than others. for example the yaris race....

He suffers in any race where he wouldn't have a major advantage, thus why he struggles in the Yaris challenge. You can only do so much with a Yaris. The AI does suck, usually only way he will win is if you give something thats so much better than the competition.

i was thinking the same thing because the other day my drivers left me pissed, none of them were able win win the truck race on Daytona Speedway both of them would hit the brakes at the curves when they didn't need to, and when one of them finally won it wasn't by much

Its all down to how you manage them up till about level 15 there like kids with big toys and no clues you need to Manage them Better

Even up as Far as Level 28 , for Example the INDY 500 Endurance Race all the Cars in that Race are LMP Prototypes the first time you run it you'll think theres no way I can win this . Theres 6 Pit Stops at least and depending what Car you use you can lose up to 12-14 mins in the pits During Fuel Stops . Once the Bob's get a few runs in they'll get better and after two Races you can just go off and leave them do there thing . Pick the Wrong Car and you'll be sittng there for 2 hours and 30 odd mins screaming at your PS3

Car Choice and Setup is a Major Factor

Everyone has Problems with Bob's and Ovals the Simple Answer is set the front brake to 1 the rear to 0 leave the Rest of the Car Set Up as Stock

With Twistier Tracks it maybe time to mess around with LSD Settings , the Right Settings will Stop Bob's from being a wheelspinning Drifting Maniac

Gearing is also Crucial Gear the Cars on Twistier Tracks for the Fastest Speed on there Main Straights but make sure you have at least a 15mph leeway on longer Tracks so Bob can Draft pass people , its not much fun sitting there watching him nut the windscreen every time the Car hits the Rev limiter in top Gear

Lastly if you think on Early levels you can just put him a Car and go and do something else forget it he needs coaching properly

Do the Job right and he'll win you Cars and CR

Do it wrong and you'll allways blame him when in fact its a simple case of stacking the deck so you Win not the Opposition

Even I havn't tried the Historic Event Yet its one of the hardest Races to win with Bob's

Tuning section would be a good place to look in they do have stuff for Bob's in there

My best try so far is Silver, just too many things can happen randomly in that event...

B-Spec is fine. Check to make sure the person playing B-Spec isn't the mentally handicapped.

What youre missing is the fact he is a retard. Play down to Bobs level. I have discovered the joys of powering down rather than always gunning it. Also the beauty of pass vs gunning it. Also the level of the car must be at least somewhat close to Bobs level. Meaning my #2 driver cannot even hope to control the level 5 Vette I put him in.

But overall youre right the drivers (when compared to control) suck A@@ there are too many instances where they over accelerate and end up doing a 360 (no not a 180 and simply going from north to south; yeah facing north and ending up facing north). Ultimately losing a race.

B Spec was a good idea that was not so well either 1) explained and thus playable or 2) not particularly playable. I am not sure which.

I dropped a 100% green Bob in a tuned Audi R8 5.2 and let him loose on the Expert Nürburgring Nordschleife (Schwarzwald League B) today.

He ran 2 laps and won... Went from level 1 to 6.5 with one win.

I've been leveling one bob from 0 to now 24. I've directed him most of the way, but now that I'm at the dream car championship, I can let him do his own thing. He still will sit behind the much slower 350z LM prototype car in Monza, just sitting there, occasionally slamming into its bumper, until it has a long stretch where it he can clearly blast past the other cars. BTW he's riding in a Peugeot 908 HDi FAP, so he should be able to comfortably blast past his competition...

I stuck a level 0 bob into the same car, let him loose on European Championship Monza track, and he went from 0 to 10 in one race. 12 the second race, 15 next race, and now he's 17. I'm using my 24 now to beat Dream Car Championship, since I need to save up for a FGT now that I'm level 24 b-spec (I'm 23 A-Spec, but not playing it for the last 2 weeks since I'm home for holiday break, and no steering wheel at home).

yep same here

I noticed if you go into the settings and turn the brakes down all the way they dont work as good and he wont stop as fast

but yea the stupid idiot would slam on the brakes just as the start/finish was coming up and 2-3 people would fly past him and do the same on the turns like a f-ing retard!

I cant stand this, every time I start a b-spec race I get so pissed off as if I was driving with a woman driver who would go to pass and then just slam on the brakes every time

I mean WTF! I can do the same race way better even the yaris race was easy for me but the b-spec driver acted like it was there first time driving on a track!



this game is lame as hell and I say stop playing it and go get forza, at least it lets you change the gear ratios and also have way more races and better looking cars
