Why is there no BMW E30 or E36 in the game?

Seriously what the hell was PD thinking?

The E30 M3 & E36 M3 are some of the purest, most passionate sports cars ever made.

I honestly think they just hate BMW because they only include ~8 or so BMWs in the game.

There are brands that are off worse than BMW. Actually, there are whole countries which have less cars in the game than BMW does

Either way, both cars are pretty common for track use, so, yeah, I'm missing the E30 and E36 as well. Quite a bit, actually.

I've got someone in the market place right now saying he is going to trade me an E36 M3.....

should I believe him??
Just read the official car list.

That's a no, by the way. A big no.

There are many dissapointing aspects to the game. This fact, coupled with lack of spa francorchamps and the inability to put aftermarket wheels on standard cars really is fail.

:nervous:

I still hope they allow the placement of aftermarket wheels on std cars in an upcoming update.

I really don't understand why PD neglected BMW's M division...They had some iconic cars. You could even say the M3 lineage is more iconic than PD's beloved Skyline GT-R lineage.

Oh, and where's the M1?

Just realized the E24 M6 (nor the E63 version) aren't there either...

Exactly, this thread actually has some merit to it.

How hard would it have been to add TWO BMW's instead of another dozen skylines or 20 imprezas.

And you are completely right, the BMW M-motorsport lineage, history and cars are more world renown than the GTR or it's history. (outside of japan of course)

I'm kidding, though PD have forgotten about at least 1 Skyline model, shame on them, they nearly had them all.

Now being truthful, I want more BMW, Citroen, Fiat, and some Datsun.

Simple. Polyphony, when they put a car in the game, has to do an extensive photo shoot. In the past for GT4, they had to take pictures of the car outside, then do extensive revving and racing and such to capture the car sounds. This takes up to six months.

Now, imagine them doing that, but they ALSO have to flip the car over to take pictures of the underside. Not to mention they also have to take pictures of the interior, and then model those as well. That majorly extends the time it takes.

The reason is probably simple: either Polyphony didn't think of it, or they didn't have time to do it.

I'm glad others feel the same. I'd go crazy if I saw an E36 M3 sedan
E39 or E34 M5's would be cool to see and drive as well.

In all seriousness, there are numerous Japanese cars that (IMHO) should be premium (or even in the game) and aren't.

Quick list of cars that don't exist even in standard form:
Nissan: S12 and & S10 Silvia, any Cedric/Gloria, any Leopard, Pulsar GTI-R & VZ-R, any Cefiro, 2nd gen Primera.
Mazda: Any Mazdaspeed edition car other than the 6 concept, 323GTX, MX-3, MX-6, RX-2, RX-3, 1st gen RX7.
Subaru: XT, Loyale GT
Mitsubishi: Eclipse GSX, Starion
Toyota: Mark II

And for the 500th time...the "30 Skylines" amounts to a total of 4 or 5 different in-game models with minor variations. Not the same thing as 30 unique models. And there is only one duplicate premium GT-R within a generation (the '07 R35 and the '09 R35 SpecV).
