Why not drag by "Indy Pit Lane"

I started a room a few nights ago and decided to start some drags by the pit lane. The length was from the red starting line towards the end of the pit barrier(When I say the end I mean where cars first exit after being tuned, changed, etc.) It proved to work because my car topped out at the same trap speed as when I used the other side. Im pretty sure the distance is the same. It worked for a while until people began to rebel. Its a time saver when you want to tune and it just looks better. Anyone agree?

I think just because the visual references at the back straight make it easier for people to clearly tell who wins. Plus I like the fact that it has each lane clearly marked. Really just a matter of personal preference I guess.

Yea its just what people are used to I guess. Imma try and change it though
and start a new trend. I found that its easier to get a tree because people dont have to travel a mile just to race.

I've always wondered why no one raced there instead of having to go accross the track.. FR me man. I will join you in these drag sessions

Word add me my PSN the same as my GT Planet name. Im starting a revolution.

Right, especially trying to go by time when everyone either sees it late, sees it early, or just jumps at 49 instead of 50.

That's a bit annoying. i thought the system was the loser of the racers coming back has to be the tree? if everyone did that it would be so much easier

Edit: and i will add you tomorow :)

Route X has markings, lanes, return lane, time change and ability to run 5 wide safely. Indy has NONE of those things.

I don't really like running more than 2 wide. For some reason anything other than head to head drag racing doesn't appeal to me. Guess I'm just old school.

Good luck with that because no one is going to go there anymore now that we have a strip.

Yes. It's what we like to know as 'the two main straights'. Well, more likely the one without a hill, but they're both there.

I remember there were some rumors about an actual legitimate 1/4 mile drag strip on route X that would be another separate game mode, but I guess that wasn't true.

Speed Test is sort of that, but with extra things to go with.

1/4mile; 1mile; 0-400m; 0-1000m; 10000m

That's what the speed test includes.

Measured:
- 0-60mph; 0-100mph // 0-100km/h; 0-200km/h // topspeed when doing 10000m
- Time for the disctances.
- G-force
