Happy holiday at first,

I don't know if there is anyone like me, already lost the interest on GT5. Since the GT5 P. I have already finished The Dirt, Dirt 2, 2 title of NFS, Drift.
Very disappointment with Sony and Kazunori Yamauchi. Come on, don't fool your fans anymore. If Polyphony couldn't finished the game in 3 years, that me they are not capable to do that. (resource or finance may be manpower?)
One year is fine, 2 year can be explain but now....
Don't miss understand me, I love GT but....why just stop bs and give us a GT5 and start work on the GT6. There will never be a perfect game no matter how long you take to do it. It will just keep disappointing your fans. :grumpy:

It's not financing. They've already spent $60M.

I'm not really sure it could be blamed on manpower, either. PD has expanded & hired new employees (whether it was enough is another issue).

I really think it was down to the lack of focus. Here we are only a few months away from a possible release & KY is still undecided about certain features (i.e. wx, day/night, bikes, etc.) If they had a clear focus and understanding of what they wanted to be in GT5, they would have decided those a LONG time ago...

Just my 2 cents.

EDIT - I really don't care what they call their next game GT:V, GT6, or GT whatever. They still need to release it.

Why don't you get on with our life if it's such a big deal. We've got a release date, there's no BS and I think they are well aware that the game will not be perfect. I'm happy for them to have spent this long if it means the game is better because of it. Besides, they've alread mentioned GT6, implied that it will be a PS3 game and that the game between 5 and 6 shouldn't be as long since they can use GT5's engine and won't have to rebuild the game from the base code up. I hope you realise that building a new game engine from the ground up does take considerabe time itself, creating a quality game on top of that is a big job and I'm perfectly happy to have waited 5 years for a great game. Provided it is a great game mind, but based on GT5:P there's little reason to think it won't be. Getting a new game every 2 years means compromises, for example Forza 3, as good as it is it hasn't increased on Forza 2's content very much, either in tracks or cars and it's full or bugs and there's clear evidence that work was rushed and/or outsorced particularly in the car models. On top of that, Forza 3 was not built from the ground up since they used Forza 2's engine and core code.

Please PD give us some news, pictures, whatever you want to make threads like those stop.
Just do something else.

A release date for EU and US would be a start for me. Japans release date was specified 6 months before the date (Release in march, announced september) and going by that even if they announce the EU release date tomorrow then i can see a 6 month wait from that day, so june....july.. But personally i'm expecting the earth shattering news of a september release to be announced once the japan version has begun trading

So you want them to release an unfinished, possibly buggy, game which they won't patch as they're too busy on the next instalment?

and since GT5 has not even been released, there's no need to begin discussion on GT6.

(Sorry Daan, cut you off there.)
