Im kind of new when comes to drifting. Have tried the seasonal drift events for the last to weeks and found a drift tune on GTP for my BMW M3 '04 that i really liked. I wonder if you have any other cars with good tunes that are easy to drift in??

Thanks

A stock SILEIGHTY, my favourite, I use it for Eiger Nordwand only, it's not powerful for a different track.

I saw somewhere that we really can't talk about the ultimate drift car. Besides that statement, he is looking for other cars to drift in, not Ultimate. Then it seems like another suggestions thread.

is the carbon skyline any good?
For me, no. Doesn't seem to balance nicely for me, always wants to rotate or flatten the drift.
Try it yourself though, it may lend itself to your personal style/setup.
Let us know how you got on.

The Buick is just a cheap way of getting points. Its not a drift car. Besides, until PD implements an online Drift Trial mode outside of the seasonal events, you're better off going into online free-run lobbies or practice mode.

The physics are vastly different as well... so don't expect the same results in a lobby as what you're used to getting in Drift Trials.

The "best drift car" is not based on points awarded for drifting the racing lines at 45 degree angles. The best drift car is the car that you can control comfortably and consistently around multiple tracks of various turns and layouts at every speed in which your car is able to slide.

Class is dismissed. ;)

a: the Buick is very easy to control while going sideways
b: it doesn't require any tuning to do so
c: people in free run/ drifting lobbies seem to get bored of drifting very quick and start ramming people off the road using the tank car

While the Buick Special is quite easy to drift and score well with, I ultimately find it unsatisfying to use it myself. This might be attributable to my own perception that it is overused by others.
There is no 'ultimate drift car' as has been said before. You will only ever find your personal 'best' by experimentation with different cars/setups.
Also, if like me, you are just getting into gt drifting, do not overlook the AWD/4WD class of cars, many can be tuned to be excellent drift machines, just let the inevitable sneers of derision go over your head while you enjoy!

So far I found that the Datsun/Nissan 240ZG with all mods is the best car I have drifted in, the rx7(fd with 350hp) was easy but this thing was perfect, I didn't touch camber or toe or anything and I can do 3rd gear drifts all day.It tops out around 280hp-290hp which is enough to keep the throttle going but not too much to whip you. Give it a try, I promise you will be surprised, just my choice though.

Obviously this is a matter of preference.

For me it's the FD rx7. 400hp. Comfort hards.

Balanced and controllable.
