Sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn't find a thread. Thanks in advance
It would be lame to use the GT5 garage in the new game anyway, It would take away so much of what makes the game interesting.
They don't need to import your exact car from GT5>6, they would only need to recognize which cars you have in your garage (Honda S2000 03') for example, and then drop the new version into your new garage, probably in stock condition.More importantly, I don't think such a feature would be difficult to implement, heck even GTPSP cars could be imported to GT5, and that was a whole other system! This leads me to believe that the game, and the cars, especially the standards, have been reworked up to such a degree in that they're not interchangable anymore. I might be wrong, but that's just a gut feeling. A good gut feeling, might I add.
This has been discussed many times before.
You'll won't be able to transfer any data from GT5 to GT6.
Becouse the GT5 data was "compramized" (hacked)
You could import the first 2 licenses and up to 100k of credits from GT3 to GT4, No big deal reallyThis kind of thing isn't unheard of in a GT game. You could import money from GT3 into 4, and licenses from prologue into 4 I believe. Not sure about cars though...

That was the stated reason but it's bogus IMO. As I said above, you don't have to transfer any data directly from GT5>6, just a program that reads what's in your garage in GT5 and recreates it in GT6. No data from 5 has to go to 6 for this to work.
We already know that PD will implement micro-transactions in GT6: you will have the opportunity to buy credits with real money.
From a business point of view , it is much better for PD if you import nothing from GT5: they prefer to sell 20 millions credits to a gamer than to transfer his gt5 wallet...
