I'm thinking about buying the anniversary edition of GT6 from http://www.game.co.uk/en/gran-turismo-6-15th-anniversary-edition-only-at-game-240326 My question is, will it work on my united states ps3?

It should do. As far as I'm aware Blu-Ray discs are region free.
I have seen US copies of games in UK shops aswell.

Thanks man! i really wanted the steelbook edition, but didnt want to get a uk copy if it wouldnt work in my us ps3. Your alot of help!!! You will need a EU account to get EU DLC and stuff since those are usually region locked.

I live in the Uk, and own a USA ps3. I have UK copies of both gt5 and gt5p and they both work fine. I would be surprised if they have changed this. I will also be disappointed when it come to release day because I have also pre ordered a UK copy of gt6.

well i dont know if ill open it. i preordered from gamestop us, so ill get the dlcs. 1mil in game credit wont be hard to get, so ill just collect my steelbook copy.

Blu-ray Discs are often region free, but there are still blu ray regions (less regions than DVD though). There are some that are locked to region as well. It is hit and miss. I still have to have a USA blu-Ray player (my ps3) and a UK blur ray player ( a cheap Sony model).

Just to clarify.

The UK disc itself should work in your US PS3 but to get the anniversary cars from a UK copy you will need an EU PSN account.

Nope. Although I do have a US account using a relative from the US' address.

What is good about this is that a lot of content in gt5 that people paid for, will be completely new to me in gt6:

Spa
Route x
Twin ring m
Etc.

If you buy a pre paid card, you could theoretically buy dlc content.
