We have had mostly super laps in Seasonal Events for GT6, excluding the recent Drift event. Will we see new race events in Seasonal Events and will they be in the near future?

This is for anyone like me who still enjoys race events, or would atleast like a change from super laps. Even the Senna content looks like being yet more super laps.

I'd really like to see an A.I. upgrade. The bots in GT5 were pretty aggressive online - the near-impossible-to-catch rabbits aside. :P Regardless, a return to GT5's Online Events would be very welcome, especially if some of the prizes are bountiful. I'm just not a big fan of hotlapping and Leaderboard crawling.

I claim full credit for the new races due to this thread :sly:

 just kidding of course. I always had a suspicion they might turn up after GT5 went offline...

Anyway, I'm glad to see them back though it's a little annoying that they are only around for such a short period, whereas with GT5 most stayed online for longer. But hopefully that means we will have 3 new ones coming in the next cycle... 👍

By the way, I do prefer races to time trials, and drift trials which I am useless at, but I would like there to be variety, I'm not dissing time trials or drift trials themselves but its good to have a mixture of things to do.

Has anyone else counted that we currently have 13 seasonal events online now! (though the Mitsu will be offline soon enough, hopefully to be replaced by the VW sometime shortly...)

They're not proper races though, although I think we all knew that would be the case.

Since you have gotten this through how about asking for the lower PP bonuses we had in GT5?

Also an upgrade to the ridiculous AI drivers?

Tough crowd... :nervous: I'll see what I can do
I take your point though. I kind of suspect the lower PP bonuses went out the window with macro transactions :grumpy: though I hope I'm wrong

How are they not "proper" races? I was on a track with 12 other cars, fighting for a win. What, then, constitutes a PROPER race... ?

How many races have you seen in the real world where everyone is a few seconds apart in a rolling start, around 30 seconds in total? Then the car in last (you) drives 5 seconds a lap faster than anyone else to overtake everyone and win in 5 laps, the other cars barely even trying?

I was thinking you might mean that.....

There ARE rolling starts in real life.... (shrug)

I guess we'll see where this goes.

Come on, you know they're nothing like what is found in GT. A real rolling start is nose to bumper, usually double file. Cars in GT5/6 'race' format are far apart and as I say, the last placed car can be 10 - 25 seconds behind the leader. No real race starts like that.
