I'm currently running XP Home, and I've had enough of it spewing up errors and its resource hungry ways (even after some serious tweaking). I want to downgrade to 2000 Pro, and I'm wondering if this will work? I don't see why not...

It sounds as if you hadf done an up- grade. If it is not there, oh well. back up the data and do a clean install, booting to the Windows XP CD and partitiononing anbd formatting. Stop the install after formatting if you are going to install another version of Windows. Good Luck

No, I don't want to install 2K over XP. I want to knock XP off altogether.

Wont let you clean instal from inside windows, either. Make sure your 2k Pro is bootable.

xp pro is about as good as 2k pro. xp pro works better for me though.

I believe a 2 gb partition would be suitable, but I use a 3 gb partition on my home PC
