That's a really awesome feature and I can't wait to use it but has there been any confirmation on the quality of the uploads? Will we be able to upload 720p?

I can upload my HAWX vids to YouTube but only at a resolution of 640×368.

For HAWX I honestly don't care but for GT 5 720p ( is 1080p stretching it? ) is a must.

I haven't seen the official announcement for the output. But knowing PD, they wouldn't allow anything less. Granted YouTube would compress the heck out of it anyway.

I hope that maybe we could also export them in 720p or 1080p to a USB key, maybe in *.mov format.

I think exporting to USB is very likely (not in .mov)
With the improvements on youtube quality lately, I also think 720p is possible, maybe even (very compressed) 1080p

Will take ages to upload a full replay in 720p though.^^

I would be happy if we're able to upload in 480P to be honest.

That would really depend on how long the race was and the speed of your internet connection's upload rate.

I wonder how long it would take to upload a replay of a 24 hour endurance race in 720P.

LOL does YouTube allow 24 hour videos? :)

You would have to upload them seperately which would come out to about 144 videos give or take a couple.

I hope 720p... but with an option for lower res for those with less up speed or a cap.

I have actually been pretty impressed with youtube videos lately... compressed as they are, the "HD" stuff is still very passable even at full screen and with the source being an actual dump from the game render I wuold think we are looking at about the best possible scenario for getting decent quality HD off youtube.

What would be really sweet would be if your PSN automatically created a dynamic web page for you on say a .granturismo.com address or something and linked in your youtube videos. Something simple but customizeable (like a myspace page) to hose your collection on... that could be a great way to start an awesome video community... imagine people putting together impressive race replays and clips similar to what groups do with livery editor and photomode now...

Or you can be tasteful and bandwidth considerate and make a highlight reel.

Amazingly, I've seen videos that were about a Hour-2 hours long in length so maybe in 2 hour segments? Of course, I imagine that would be 12 videos total if it were to be done in that fashion.

You Tube's total BS about compression (blah blah we all know the reasons) reminds me of R rated films shown on regular television. You know, where they totally cut out the entire nude scene? I mean c'mon, if you are gonna show it SHOW IT. My two cents, but hey I have my own website for video replays any-who 👍
