Willow Springs... WHY?!

When I think of all the great tracks in past GT games which are missing from GT Sport...

- Tsukuba Circuit
- Spa
- Monza
- Laguna Seca
- Circuit De La Sarthe
- Monaco (Cote D'Azur)
- Grand Valley
- Deep Forest
- High Speed Ring
...etc

Why on earth would they choose to include Willow Springs over these?
Maybe it's just me, but I do not find Willow Springs to be a fun track at all. It's just tedious imo.

Does anyone have a good reason for this?

It's the ONE track(on whatever layout i race) I just can't get used to the corner entries speed, and end up eating the dust, so I avoid it like a plague, thank God there aren't many license tests in there.

BECAUSE!!

It's hardly a coincidence that Mount Panorama, Willow Springs and Brand's Hatch (all introduced in GT6) made it to GT Sport. They probably modeled these tracks with the PS4 in mind, perhaps even making one PS4 version and one PS3 version at the same time. Suzuka was given an update in 2014, it's possible that the PS4 version stems from this.

That's a crappy excuse. The truth is they have an outdated way of creating cars and tracks that takes way too long relative to the competition. They are stuck in their ways and still haven't changed. We'll see new stuff but not at the same rate and if anything the next GT game on PS4 will have more included from the start as it will be their second attempt using this system's specs.

Out of curiosity, how do they go about their tracks? I recall laser scanning many years ago but everyone does that too, so I'm lost on what they or others do different. Maybe I missed something g or don' remember.

I don't know exactly but they've said and it can be foudn in interviews with Kaz that it takes about 6 months to do a car or track

It's actually one of my favourites. Streets of willow is crap but Big Willow and horse thief are both great.
Each to their own.

Alsace village however sucks donkey balls.

It's really fun using karts in that layout yeah!!! N300 & Gr.4 too!

GrB rally cars are great fun round the horse thief mile too.

Yep, I absolutely love Alsace but not a fan of Big Willow. And I've never liked Interlagos either.
I do ok on all of them but 'enjoy' Alsace the most.
It's very subjective.
Can't wait to try the new Kyoto layout.

What excuse?

That they only used tracks that were new to GT6 thinking they were planning ahead to use them in GTS

I do not understand how PD can be so slow, and fruitless.

I do not think the GT tracks are so superior. What's the use of having 10 super cool tracks, when you have 50 tracks recreated in a very competent way?

Other games bring clues with rich details as well, but with a much richer cast of tracks. I do not know if it's laziness, laziness or even incompetence.

I just think it is very wrong to deliver a malnourished game in the current generation. Where are the tracks recreated for GT6?

This is frustrating!
