Win 10 Issue

Just recently, the USB ports just stopped working. Nothing syncs to the computer, not even mice. I look in the Device Manager, and two USB controllers don't show up (they are listed as USB Root Hubs) and three unknown devices are found. I suspect driver issues, and there is no Windows 10 drivers for this model. I think I'm SOL, but if anyone had this issue, how did you solve the problem?

USB devices dont really need drivers as they are built in(built in for USB 2.0 since XP and USB3.0 since windows 8).

Go to the device manage and uninstall the drivers for the USB Root Hubs that are effected.
And then click "scan for hardware changes" afterwards

Had the ports been working with Windows 10 for a while or did they stop working when you installed Windows 10?

I swear that the USB ports were working after the upgrade, but after a USB mouse stopped working during a remote desktop session (not by me), nothing else can connect.

There is a simple way to see if the ports work.
Plug a USB drive into a port that doesnt work.
Fully reboot the system.
Bring up the boot device selection menu
Does it get detected?

The boot device menu did detect a USB drive, and it was on. It's the OS...

Apologies for the double post, but after some investigating, I might have to uninstall the drivers for the USB controllers. I'm afraid if I do that, I'll just screw things up even further. Suggestions?
