I have windows xp but its not acting properly. It says that it is Win32 mode, and things are screwed. I can search for anything on my computer, and cant click into help and support. Also i can click certain links on the internet. Can someone help me? I cannot edit user accounts either.

Reinstall Windows XP. Format the drive completely if possible.

I hate formatting. I just formatted a couple of days ago. Thank God for CD-RWs though!

You should always keep your files backed up.

You could run the XP CD and install over your current installation and it might fix the problem.
