I don't belive you.

Oh wait.........

I've downloaded it but I won't have a chance to use it for a while.

Mmmm.. That's very neat... Seems faster than the Beta 8 I've been using lately...

The only thing you gain by paying the fifteen dollars is the ability to rip MP3s and burn to CDs. Both of these amazing feats can be accomplished by other, most likely better, free software.

Winamp 5 owns you.

stop your whining and get foobar2000 or itunes like the rest of the audiophiles

Excuse me? iTunes blows. When they release the patch called "make it run at a usable speed" I'll try it again.

Holy F'NARD! Winamp 5 is all that they claimed Winamp 2 would be nearly six years ago! Man it's cool. It's like the effeciency of Winamp 2.91 and the coolness of ... well there isn't anything this cool yet, so it's the coolest.

Wow... Visualizations work for me now in Winamp 5. They refused and often crashed my computer in Winamp 3 for some strange reason. I don't like the way they setup the menus though. It's too much of a pain now compared to Winamp 3. I suppose I'll adjust to it.

I'm on Linux so I use XMMS (same as X11AMP) but (surprise, surprise) they already have a Winamp 5 skin out, so I decided I'd give it a try. Personally, I dont like it. Too much contrast, too busy.

Well dress me in pink and call me Sally. Apple has released the "make it faster" patch!

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Ok, so it's only slightly faster, but still it's better.

Back to the argument though. The big reason I liked iTunes was the music sharing for local networks. Then I realized something. Why have multiple levels of sharing? Why not educate yourself how to do real file sharing and get to the music that way? So this iTunes shared library thing is easier, but I still argue that Apple is making people dumber every day.

try searching linkin park in itunes, they only have 2 songs and that was from the family values too back in '99???
maybe linkin park doesnt like apple?

Maybe Apple doesn't like Linkin Park. In which case, I instantly love Apple.

And Winamp will play WMA files if you were so inclined to use that crappy format.

The only thing crappy about WMA is that Microsoft owns it and they put that stupid copy protection thing on it. Other than WMA would own MP3, but Ogg Vorbis is still my format of choice.
