I tried to installing my game, it's popup say: Setup was unable to create the directory "C:\users\owner\appdata\local\temp\is-4df2.temp, error 5 Access denied.

Help?

And you searched google for this error with this game?

Yes, and give me 1,080,000 results, same error with different games and programs. I am frustration with that error.... That annoy me, I was installing new Windows 7 about 1 and half years ago.. Never seen that error before.

...and did any of those results have any suggestions for you? There are a number of things you can do to delete a file that is in use. None of them are particularly simple, but google has the explanations. You may also have a virus.

Error 5 is a standard MS code when file write-access is denied. (Knowledge Base).

If that article doesn't help then you're better off searching on forums for that game in particular; if you don't generally have write-permission problems then it's possible that this installer itself has known problems.

What's the game that you're trying to install?

No, not a word. Must be my age. Let's start with Frak! and move out from there...

EDIT: A google suggests that the English patch is a late port; various problems with Win8 runtime (not your problem here) related to 64-bit vs 32-bit (also unlikely to be the problem).

I notice the write path includes the word "owner", have you navigated to that path and checked that it actually exists? Normally there's a path called Default in there but otherwise one would expect the account holder's name. Yours is looking for C:\users\owner\appdata\local\temp\is-4df2.temp (unless you changed your name to protect identities etc).

For example my equivalent path is; C:\Users\Moira\AppData\Local.

I wonder if it's looking for a folder path that simply isn't there, however 'legit' it looks? You could try making a folder on that path and see if it works, if you have the privs (which you imply you do).
